Re: Strange (incorrect?) behavior of template expression in event log

The full raise condition:

Code: Select all

fabs([th0temp-age:999]-[thb0temp-age:999]) >= 100 && [mbsystem-lastgooddata] < 30
I simply left the second part out as it does not seem relevant, but there it is. The log shows that overall raise condition to evaluate to false.

Strange (incorrect?) behavior of template expression in event log

I have created an alarm condition like this to raise: fabs([th0temp-age:999]-[thb0temp-age:999]) >= 100 (don't ask why), and the corresponding condition for clearing the alarm is: fabs([th0temp-age:999]-[thb0temp-age:999]) <= 3 When I go to the "Services" tab and hover over the orange "i" box I see ...

Re: insane temperatures....

Notice that the temperatures you are seeing are the values you would get if you take your true temperatures (in F) and convert them as if they were in C to F. I've seen this happen, on occasion, but never for the longer duration, when you change the settings on the ObserverIP from F to C. MeteoBridg...

Re: WU send frequency issue

I am logging my values to a personal server every 15 seconds using an HTTP get "service". The lines contain both values from primary sensors (e.g. th0temp-act) as well as averages etc. I see lots of lines that have duplicates as far as primary sensors is concerned. Does this mean that the "not sendi...

Re: "-age" modifier bug in template variables?

I think I figured out why I was always getting 600 s when the sensor indicated invalid, and the observations might be helpful for those of you who would like to tinker with alarms on MeteoBridge. If you don't care about the how I discovered it, the conclusions are at the end. I think MeteoBridge doe...

Re: What, if any, are the MB templates for "standard" services.

I am not so much interested in the exact format of the strings, but rather what MeteoBridge variables and with what defaults and formatting are being sent for each service. Even if the actual sending is not done using a template, it should be possible for Boris to tell us in the language of the temp...

Re: "-age" modifier bug in template variables?

I started logging some of the ages of my sensor data earlier tonight and noticed something peculiar right after I rebooted my ObserverIP (columns are: time, th0temp-age, thb0temp-age, thb0seapress-age, mbsystem-lastdata, mbsystem-lastgooddata): 06:46:12 90 90 90 34 90 06:46:29 9 9 9 9 9 06:46:47 27 ...

Re: WU send frequency issue

But what happens if your sensor information (all sensors combined) does not change for say 10 minutes (very stable weather)? Does that mean that for 10 minutes there is no upload to WU? They seem to sample and store what you send every 5 minutes. Will they use the data from the beginning of the 10 m...

Re: "-age" modifier bug in template variables?

So do I, but the scenario in which I see the issue is the thb0seapress sensor actually returns invalid, which in my expression will then become -999 and that triggers the raise condition. Only then will I see what [thb0seapress-age:0] converts to, and in those moments my emails contain 600 or 601. T...

Re: Invalid dewpoint reported

Yes, MB "reads" data from the console port. What is not clear is whether the console display behaves differently from what values are made available on the port that MB uses. For example is it just the console that displays "--" when its RH sensor delivers values < 10 (because these values are not r...

Re: Invalid dewpoint reported

You are putting the values 10 and 99 in the MeteoBridge setup. I can only imagine you are referring here to the item called humidity stretching. You should not use that this way. Let's discuss with some symbols: RH = "true" relative humidity RHm = measured RH (sensor value with 10 ≤ RH ≤ 99) RHd = d...

"-age" modifier bug in template variables?

I have an alarm event (one time alarm) setup to activate when I get bad pressure data (Raise: [thb0seapress-act=inHg.2:-999] <= 25), and clear once it goes back in range (Clear: [thb0seapress-act=inHg.2:-999] > 25). This should catch both not getting data at all, as well as extremely low values. Whe...

What, if any, are the MB templates for "standard" services.

I'd like to know what template MB effectively uses when I activate a standard (included) weather service, such as wunderground.com. I know that for newer services you can call http://content.meteobridge.com/templates/homeweatherstation.template or http://content.meteobridge.com/templates/meteotempla...

Re: Apparent incorrect upload to WU in some cases

It seems you think I am saying MB does not work as advertised. That is not what I was trying to convey. What I was trying to convey is that there is a scenario that, with existing functionality, is troublesome because it requires a very verbose template. There are some 10 parameters and having to ap...

Re: Apparent incorrect upload to WU in some cases

From the lack of further response, it seems there is no intention (or time) to do anything about this, either using my suggestions, or otherwise. Nonetheless, I want to convey the situation is real and poses a problem. I have checked my sensor's battery and location and all is fine. It just appears ...
