Re: Which hardware do you recommend?

Hi, I've recently tested Meteohub on a virtual machine and want to use it for my weather station. Now I want to buy a hardware. Which one would you recommend at the moment? I need a USB connection for my weather station (TE831X - works like TE923) and it should work with WLAN. Regards Stef I tried ...

Re: Mini X - a new member in the family

Continuing to work with the MiniX. I have it working, but I did end up giving up on the WiFi network connection. Maybe i was just too far from my hotspot but the connection kept dropping offline. I got a USB ethernet dongle and that helped out with system stability somewhat. The software does still ...

Re: Mini X - a new member in the family

Did a full reimage and a clean update to 4.9r and things are running well. Lost the license activation in the process though. Email sent to resolve the license activation issue. Wunderground upload working well.

Thank you for working with me to get though the initial setup phase, Boris!

Re: Mini X - a new member in the family

I will... As soon as can get the darn thing seeing the gateway IP again. I had to leave it offline because I had to go off to work. If I have to, I will wipe the sd card and put a fresh image on it and go through the setup process again! Hopefully not, but.... I will be working on it again about 050...

Re: Mini X - a new member in the family

I installed the v3 Image on the Mini X. Headless setup works as designed and the DHCP configuration is OK. But I can't connect the weatherstation (Davis Envoy with serial datalogger over Prolific USB to serial adapter). Every try to start the data logger process ends with the following entry in the...

Re: Mini X - a new member in the family

Ah HA!. There are TWO license agreements to accept: meteo hub and wdlive. If BOTH are not accepted then....

Progress, it is a good thing.

Re: Mini X - a new member in the family

Well, so far, so good. The minix boots, I can browse it, and working on configuration. I added the Davis Vantage Pro 2 station, using a Davis Weatherlink USB interface. Selected /dev/ttyUSB0 . Says there are no sensors... Expected that. Go to sensors page and I get an error : error connect socket 12...

Re: Mini X - a new member in the family

Just received my MiniX "Plus" -- the 1GB version. Took 15 days to arrive from China. Have downloaded the image and un-RAR'ed it. Have the micro-SD card ready to go, but could not find my micro-SD reader/writer USB gadget last night. Picking one of those up after work today. Hopefully by tonight I'll...

Re: Mini X - a new member in the family

Ok, I will. As a note, I ordered the 1gb unit because it was actually *cheaper* than the 512k unit. Odd, I know! My cost, ordered through EBay from seller " eforu_uk" 69.59 Euros, , about $80 USD.

Re: Mini X - a new member in the family

I just ordered a Minix off of eBay. I ordered the MiniX that has 1gb of ram as opposed to the 512mb. I would not expect any issues, but... Thought I would ask? It is a model number HDV-G200.

Thanks!
