I guess I'm just gonna stick to 3.2 version.

Unless the new versions have a real big change in capabilities.

For my use it is good as is.

Too bad it is necessary to let customers pay for updates.

Good luck, I'll keep an eye on releases and forum maybe I'll change my mind.

Cheers wsNoordbergum.

In the future licenses will still be of unlimited life-time, but update service
will be limited to two years after having applied/purchased the license.
I purchased my meteobridge (as part of a package) from ambientweather.com on January 21st 2017; it was delivered to me on January 26th and I set it up a few days later. The device now claims the license "includes access to new releases until: 2018-12-28" which is less than 2 years after I purchased the license. Is it possible that there was an error in the license logic that resulted in the support period being shortened to 23 months instead of 24, or does the license period start when the device is delivered to a reseller?

In general licensed systems sold by resellers start counting when first time license conditions on web interface of Meteobridge are accepted. Regular licensing via reseller does not trigger that, but may be reseller did some checks and by that period counter started. But no problem,
please send your license code shown on license tab to "info@meteobridge.com" and I will adapt according to the data posted here.
