Ambient Weather certificate **solved**

Hello,
I just updated my Meteobridge to 3.4 from 3.2 and I noticed I seem to be having a intermittent problem sending data to Ambient Weather.
Not sure if the problem has always been there or not. Looking at the event history is how i noticed it.

Sending to Weather Underground looks to be fine. Below is what I am seeing.

The certificate thing is just a warning, forget about this.

Problem that raises the error is the "Read error (Connection timed out) in headers" which results from the ambient server being to slow to react or your Internet connection being to slow to send and receive the packets before running into a time out.

Thanks for the info. I disconnected two devices that use the network and internet a lot and seen the same messages.
I may try turning everything else off and see if it changes, but not tonight.

When you enable remote access and send credentials to "info(at)meteobridge.com" I can test a few things.

I did login. HTTP request has a timeout of 13 seconds, which should be pretty fine.

Are other users of the Ambient Weather Network also see that kind of connection errors?
If so, that might be a hint that the server is sometimes a bit slow or unresponsive.
if others don't see these symptoms your specific Internet connection might be the root cause (packet drops, DNS issues, slow transfer rates, ...)

Anyway, even when a few of the per minute updates don't come through you won't miss too much.

BTW: The just released version does remove the misleading certificate warnings from the error message.

Have been watching this for a while and with my very limited knowledge of how the connections are made I would think my connections
out to the world are fine but the systems at the different weather networks have problems at times. Weather Underground seems to be
having a big problem now.

I am feeding to Weather Underground (1 Min.), WeatherCloud (10 Mins.), Awekas (5 Mins.), Ambient Weather ( 1 Min.)
For the snapshot of time given in Meteobridge, Awekas and Ambient Weather were all Successful. WeatherCloud had some failures
but Weather Underground seems to be falling asleep.

I am on a beta version of 3.4
Platform: TL-MR3020 (no USB hub)
RAM: 29364 kB total, 2124 kB free (92% used)
SW Version: Meteobridge 3.4 (Nov 27 2017, build 11646), FW 1.4
Uptime: 40 days, 10 hours, 31 minutes Buffer: 1 items (0%)

After this I am going to reboot and let the unit get the current version and see if it make a difference.

WU has problems and some frustrated users right now. I hope things will improve once they finished migration of their servers. I don't think it is something I can do anything about.

Version 3.5 loaded ok. Only weather site having problems sending data to is Weather Underground.
