Meteobridge iPhone integration

Post by admin »

Connection of Meteobridge with Meteoplug (since version 1.8 ) does allow for some interesting server-based visualizations.
I picked two charts from a pile of options to make those available for every Meteobridge, that uploads to Meteoplug (regardless if Meteoplug is licensed by the user or not).

Code is still a bit "alpha", so I look for Meteobridge users with an iPhone who might be interested to give it a shot. Please mail to "info(at)meteobridge.com" and please also send your Meteobridge's MAC.

When you are interested how it does look at the moment, please have a look here:

nope, not yet (and I don't have one to develop with).

but inspecting this URL might inspire one of the android users to adapt it?
Everyone with a meteoplug account can setup a chart that loads a tweaked html code which fulfilles android requirements.

Code: Select all

im liking the live data on the iphone but am still confused as to the rainfall graph in landscape mode.
what do the numbers from 1-12 represent, its obviously not km/h???

also what does the time stamp at the top represent?

i have upload interval set to 10 mins and live data to 30 sec but it doesnt seem that live data updates every 30sec, do i need to manually refresh, if so adding a refresh button to the iphone page would be useful as the address bar with refresh button does not show up when i use the iphone link.

it would also be great if there was a page that displaced min/max data for the week/month/year/all time and a pressure trending arrow (trending up or down)

i access my weather station from the iphone 99% of the time so i really appreciate you creating the iphone page.

regarding wind:
1 to 12 range on wind speed bar represents Beaufort scale
red triangle indicates todays max gust speed
blue triangle and numeric value reports current non-averaged wind speed

timestamp at the upper left corner does state time of last update and number in brackets reports assumed interval when new data is expected

landscape display is expected to update itself reulary (time stamp should increase at least, when numbers don't change). When inactive, may be safari shuts down javascript? I don't know.

I noticed that on the mac the page auto updates but not on the iPhone.

Is it possibly to change the Beaufort scale to km/h?

When using the iPhone integration link on weather station tab of Meteobridge, a Meteoplug chart called "*iphone-black" is called 3 different weather data views are shown on the iPhone.
1) portrait: current weather data and min/max for today and yesterday is presented in a tabular style
2) landscape (right): a self updating dashboard with gauges and dials is shown for current data (chart "*instruments-black")
3) landscape (left): two graphs showing data of today and yesterday are presented: upper one shows temperature and wind speed (chart "*iphone-tw-2d"), lower one shows pressure and rain (chart "*iphone-pr-2d").

This subscription free rendering service taken from Meteoplug cannot be configured or adapted to special needs/preferences. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy it as a free "give-away".
When you have a full Meteoplug subscription you can overwrite all entries with your individually user-defined modifications, and you can of course do even more types of graphing.
