I bought a new USB 2.0 hub and will try that first. 2 days so far without a blip, so hopefully that will be the ticket. If it fails again I'll PM you the MAC. I very much appreciate your kind offer but don't want to waste your time if it turns out to be a simple fix.

There is a USB 2.0 bridge (netgear). I bought the Ambient Weather WS-2090 internet package which included the Meteobridge and USB hub.

I found out that if I just reboot the Meteobridge that it still does not work. I have to take the batteries out of the WS-2090 and power off everything else, the ...

The hub is behind a firewall so I will need to open an SSH port to it. Will do so this weekend.

Don't know about the hub. I bought it as a package from Ambient, but will try putting a new 2.0 hub on it.
