Sorry, guys, after quite some time and many reboots it finally came good.

Had to re-power my meteobridge and now it just cycles. The last of the landing page look like:

I can open a terminal shell onto the device. It looks like the wget runs ...

I don't get how you can say its not a new introduced bug.

For one - a recent change that could be related
"uses "route -n" instead of "route" internally to avoid Meteobridge stalling admin pages in case DNS is very slow."

Maybe this has caused some other flow on network of host lookup issue ...

It was working for me under release released October 31, 2015, but it as stopped working under the current release.

Maybe a new introduced bug.

It worked fine for a while, but has failed again - lost contact with weather station - possibly when the DHCP on the WLIP expired.

This setting did however stop the DUP packets on ping.

Back to the drawing board.

In case anyone else gets this, I found that I have to turn off the forwarding of broadcast traffic for the Relay network device. - see attached.

This has resolved all my issues.
