Just to finish this out. I followed the migration procedure and all went well. :D
A note to others doing this, two things didn't migrate with the backup file and had to be set/copied over manually:
1. The time zone settings
2. Custom scripts in home/meteohub (I have a custom weather station ...

I'm currently running Meteohub on a RaspPi B+ but would like to transfer it to a new RaspPi 2

Thanks for solving this! I just had exactly the same problem with Weathercat. My system was off for a few hours, and now Weathercat is attempting to load historical data. As with Ladd, it always fails at record 38.
I'll update to V2.5 and check the problem has gone. It wasn't an immediate problem ...

Update. Working well - Meteobridge is now sending data from my Vantage Pro 2 to WeatherCat running on a PC as well as sending it to WU, Meteoplug, etc.

OK, thanks. I'm currently grabbing my own data back from WeatherUnderground and feeding it into WeatherCat through some custom PHP. I was just hoping I could avoid that step.
