Re: Meteostic Vantage errors on my Meteobridge pro.
There has been no missing data on Weatherundergound, and no entries in the log since I updated the sensitivity to -65 dB. Looks like that fixed the problem. edit: It seems I had this problem once before two years ago: https://forum.meteohub.de/viewtopic.php?p=36327#p36327 That time I had to make the...

Re: Meteostic Vantage errors on my Meteobridge pro.
I just changed the sensitivity to -65 dB, will check the log tomorrow to see if there is an improvement. The transmitter is about 30 ft above and 10 ft away from the receiver with a composition shingle roof between. It has not rained in a month, so it is dry. The Davis receiver is right next to the ...

The only thing that has changed is the version of software my meteobridge pro was running due to a power outage, but I can't correlate...

Meteostic Vantage errors on my Meteobridge pro.
I have started seeing dropouts in the data uploaded to Weatherunderground. Log files show the meteostick getting restarted regularly: logger (22.06.2022 00:48:44): services activated. logger (22.06.2022 11:50:03): station 0 (Meteostick Vantage), restart meteostick (340 secs no valid rf signal) logge...

Re: Two systems lisning to the same weather station get different results **solved**
I have an update on this experiment. I had a failure today, but it was NOT the memory card, it was the USB card reader that failed. I pulled the card and reader and put it in my computer. A filesystem check found nothing wrong, so I tried to run a benchmark on the card. Almost immediately after the ...

Re: [s]Incorrect[/s] Confusing rain data shown on WeatherUnderground.
As far as I can tell, it is not a meteobrige issue (I thought it might be at first). Seems that Weather underground has a weird way of handling daylight savings time change.

[s]Incorrect[/s] Confusing rain data shown on WeatherUnderground. **solved**
Please see the rain total graph for March 14th: https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KCASANJO507/graph/2021-03-14/2021-03-14/daily Total rainfall should always be increasing, and only drop to zero at midnight. March 14th is the day that Daylight Savings Time starts here, and I know from experi...

Re: Two systems lisning to the same weather station get different results **solved**
The memory card I chose is specifically designed for use in dashcams. This application is known to eat memory cards quickly as it is continuously recording video whenver the car is running. Dash cams have become common enough for memory card manufacturers to start paying attention to the longevity o...

Re: Two systems lisning to the same weather station get different results **solved**
If there is proper wear leveling, a memory that is twice as large will last twice as long in a particular application, if the memory technology is the same, as each cell is written half as often on the larger memory. The larger memory has a useful function, even if I don't ever intend to use more th...

Re: Two systems lisning to the same weather station get different results **solved**
My meteobridg pro is definitely from the first batch. The first memory card failed within a year. It was replaced under warrantee. The dead memory stick I just pulled out of my replacement unit was a Toshiba 8GB memory card. I don't know if this was a SLC card, it may have been from before the switc...

Re: Two systems lisning to the same weather station get different results **solved**
I have just tested with a uSD card reader, and a 64GB uSD card I had lying around. I was able to get this to work. I plan to replace the random uSD card with this: https://documents.westerndigital.com/content/dam/doc-library/en_us/assets/public/sandisk/product/memory-cards/max-endurance-uhs-i-micros...

[s]What is the procedure to execute that call? That does not look like a command line command.[/s] I think I figured out that I enter that line in my browser with the "ip-of-your-meteobridge" replaced with an actual IP address. The memory stick I have installed is a temporary proof of conc...

Re: Two systems lisning to the same weather station get different results
I currently have a known good memory stick installed (SanDisk Cruzer 8GB FAT32 format volume name Pictures, no files on the disk). The login I gave you a few days ago should still be good. The memory stick was removed from its case, but is still too long to put inside the Meteobridge PROs case, so t...
