Re: Writing realtime.txt to local storage

Too bad, but thanks for confirming this. Would you be able to add this functionality in a future update?

Re: Writing realtime.txt to local storage

Hi Matt - I tried to create a Data Export service but the realtime template is not listed as an option in the dropdown (I only see standard-iso and standard-imp in the dropdown). Is there another service type that I need to use for this?

Writing realtime.txt to local storage

Hello,
I have defined a recurring FTP service to upload a realtime.txt file to my FTP server (a NAS box) every minute. I have another application (on another PC) which then reads this file from the FTP server (NAS) and takes various actions based on the realtime data.

Ideally, I would like to cut ...

Re: Please help me troubleshoot no valid RF signal

Yes that's what I feared. I found a used patch antenna on ebay so I think I'll try it and see what happens. My MB is only about 100 feet line of site to the Davis ISS, but there are some bushes and a wall in the path.

Re: Powering from USB port on access point?

Sorry for the delay, it took me a while to get my ISS finally installed and ready for the MB. I just wanted to follow up and let you know that I have the MB Pro plugged into a free USB 3.0 port on my access point and it's been running with no issues. I haven't noticed any spurious reboots or errors ...

Re: Please help me troubleshoot no valid RF signal

Thanks for the info, I was wondering what the seconds for each reading represented. The difference make sense now.
I'm consistently getting a long acquire time after every reboot of the MB - I wonder if it has to do with the lower signal reading that I'm getting (approx -75db). I might experiment ...

Re: Please help me troubleshoot no valid RF signal

Actually another follow up question. I noticed that the signal strengths reported for temp, wind and rain sensors are not identical. Since I only have one transmitter in the ISS I would expect these readings to be the same db levels. Why are these different?

Re: Please help me troubleshoot no valid RF signal

So it seems like I've made some progress:-)
I put my console into rebroadcast mode and noticed that I started to get valid signal readings on the display at approx -75db. I then changed the sensitivity to -80 and I now seem to be getting consistent readings from the iss, and have disabled ...

Re: Please help me troubleshoot no valid RF signal

Yes that's ticked. Should it be unticked?

I just thought of something: I bought the MBPro from the UK seller because I couldn't find a US seller that would ship to Canada. Is there a EU flavour of the MB that I might have, or is there only one global version?

Re: Please help me troubleshoot no valid RF signal

Here is a summary of my settings (on the Station tab). As I mentioned my ISS is set to station #4, so hopefully I have this configured correctly.
Other than the ISS, I don't have any other sensors or transmitters.

RF Module: Vantage
US 915 MHz
RF Sens: -90db
Narrow
Rain 0.2mm
Station #4: Integrated ...

Re: Please help me troubleshoot no valid RF signal

Just for kicks I tried all the different frequencies (US, EU, AU and NZ) but none worked.
When I get home I will try setting the station ID back to 1, just in case that might be the issue.
Throughout this time, the Davis console has been receiving data from the ISS 100% reliably, so I'm sure there ...

Please help me troubleshoot no valid RF signal

Hello Admin,

I just bought a Meteobridge PRO and I'm not able to get any RF communications between my ISS (Davis Vantage Pro2) and the Meteobridge PRO.
My ISS has station ID = 4 and I'm having no issues with my Davis Pro2 console. No matter what I try, I keep getting "no valid RF signal" in the ...

Powering from USB port on access point?

Hi there,
I just ordered the MeteoBridge Pro Red and I'm planning to place it next to my wireless AP, wired into one of the ethernet ports. My AP has 2 USB ports available (2.0 and 3.0). Would it be possible to power the MB Pro from one of these ports? I'm thinking the 3.0 port, since it should be ...
