Re: Downgrading Meteobridge PRO2

Just an update for future prosperity: I was able to get the meteobridge app installed back on the MBP by sharing my laptop's internet over ethernet. To protect myself from future mishap, I also made sure this time to select the option under System > Administration to "use the installed version ...

Re: Downgrading Meteobridge PRO2

The "no reason" was a good hint -- I was using a WiFi router that wasn't my own (at a vacation rental). I think the Ethernet jacks are locked down (not getting an IP).

After piecing together the following:

MBP (resetted) <- Ethernet <- LTE Router (mine) <- Wireless <- Laptop (mine)

The MBP ...

Re: Downgrading Meteobridge PRO2

Certainly some weirdness going on. Another challenge is that I can't force Ethernet/LAN using the pin (although I can "Reboot LAN"). Plugging into ethernet does not get IP from DHCP either (guessing it's because it's set to WIFI or AP in the meteobridge app -- which I can't currently access).

Re: Downgrading Meteobridge PRO2

Hey @Mattk,

When running in AP mode, I get the following error when I try connecting to the MBP application:

Not Found
The requested URL /cgi-bin/meteobridge was not found on this server.

With that said, I can't get to the MBP System > Administration tab. This will ultimately run as a Wifi ...

Downgrading Meteobridge PRO2

Hey Folks,

I'm having problems finding the answers I need in the forums and the web. It's been challenging since I currently have spotty internet access, only a few hours over the next several days to fix this, and if I can't fix it, I won't be able to work on it again for another year (or two ...

Re: Data Uploading Advice

Hmm.. I think you're onto something re: the power requirements @Mattk. I guess I was so looking forward to not being dependent on weatherlink.com to download my weather data from that I failed to double check my math. :(

Re: Data Uploading Advice

Thanks for the reply @Mattk. Here is some more info about my system/rig:

* The LTE Gateway is on it's own solar/battery system so the MBP won't be competing with that.
* Currently I have a Vantage Pro2 Console and WeatherLink IP device running on a solar/battery system, but a cloudy days prevents ...

Data Uploading Advice

Hey Folks,

I recently picked up a new Meteobridge PRO on backorder and I'm pretty excited to get it working with a remote weather station (Davis Vantage Pro2 + LTE Gateway) that I have running.

In the meantime, I'm trying to understand more about what my data uploading options are.

Since the ...
