Just had a reoccurrence of this issue but only for a few minutes today. Started and stoped all in its own. Note that my observer IP is on the newer firmware (4.3.1) as of Sep 30th.

When you say you have sometimes seen contents of the live data pages during these issues. How do they display: with -- or with the extremely high temps ??

Agreed on trying to catch one live and get Boris in there to see might be tricky. I'm all for him seeing but timing is hard.

just performed upgrade for observer ip1400 from the 4.1.4 that it was running on the the latest 4.2.1
not only did I notice something in release notes that might be related (not sure) but its always good to be on up to date firmware for all parts ..

I'd be surprised if related since Ed's notes ...

I forgot to mention that I saw this extreme temp jump for reporting to both wunderground and WeatherForYou however I did not see it jump for reporting to ambientweather.net.

I just had this occur on my setup. Noting I have made no changes to my Observer-ip1400 or my Meteobridge in the last months

That does actually make perfect sense. Interesting to me that the DD tool did not error out when I imaged the defective memory stick.

Also interesting that Ed did not encounter an error when he tested the unit before shipping it back. Notably I called Ed and mentioned changing the way he retests ...

Sorry to bump an older thread there but I wanted to provide the conclusion/resolution and a follow-up question to this. Received a new 2Gig memory stick and indeed it worked fine.

Recieved my NSLU and memory stick back from Ambient Weather today where Ed had reflashed the NSLU and the Memory stick. Then tested on his Vantage pro.

However I am still getting the same issue when I try to use it here.


Have tried recycle and reset of both NSLU and WRM200 that I have it ...

Thanks for the reply. Just had to power cycle the NSLU as it was giving me Page Cannot Be Displayed. (its done that a few times after I've power cycled the WRM-200). It did boot right up and let me login.
