Definitely not locked - visually checked and when I start Ubuntu on this SD card I can write, copy, delete files, so the SD card seems to be ok.
What about username and pwd at Ubuntu, any requirements for the meteohub installation?

I have done as described, but still I can't install meteohub on the SD card.
I bought a SanDisk Extreme III 4GB SD card. Installed Ubuntu 10.04 on it (it works). Prepared an USB stick with the meteohub image and checked the BIOS successfully.

Re: Meteohub installation problem with ebox
So either Boris is on travel or this subject shall fall silent.
I do not agree with the statement it is CLEARLY mentioned. This is a cheap excuse. The model I bought has a x86 system and the meteohub software shall be compatible with this system. I mean what kind of software shall this be, some ...

Looks like it has an new - but meteohub incompatible - processor manufactured
1Ghz Xcore86 CPU (x586 CPU with MMX compatible extensions)
If this is the case I am really disappointed as I bought this hardware ONLY for the meteohub software!

Re: Meteohub installation problem with ebox
Sorry for the late reply, was on travel for some days.
I purchased the ebox personally and directly from the manufacture Northtec in Thailand (during my last business trip on 26th of March this year).
The official model number is MCJr MX with 2 RS232 ports, opt HDD, auto Power ON, USB, WiFi, SD ...

Re: Running Meteohub on a Synology DiskStation?
did you consider an iconnect based meteohub setup?
Sure there are several other hardware solutions but all have one common issue, you have to buy another piece of hardware to connect to your Synology Discstation. Is it really that time consuming to adapt meteohub to Synology?

Re: Running Meteohub on a Synology DiskStation?
That's sad, as I would be also a new candidate for meteohub - if the software would run on a Synology station.
The reason why I haven't choosed meteohub yet is that I don't want to buy another piece of hardware only to run the software on it. In addition some of the recommended hardware is not ...
