Hi all,
I want to push new received measurements via curl into openhab (via RestAPI).
A cron with pulling the data on a regular basis is not really clever...

Do you have an hints / examples on how I could call a bash or similar to transfer the value into my server?

I looked around for the data format of a rain sensor when I poll PORT 5500.

I see
20120823073845 rain0 0.0 264.9 0.0
but can only guess.... so can someone explain to me the details.
