I am answering my own question.
I think i am getting closer.
I finally came across a page on Meteohub dedicated to the different weatherstations, and it Casually mentions that the baud rate for the vantagevue must be 19200.
Now, I finally have the Indoor, Outdoor, Rain and wind sensors showing up ...

I have the Davis VantageVue and have 4.9q firmware updated on Meteohub
The VantageVue console is 1 foot from my computer and the weather station is in the same room, as I am trying to configure things and want it all kept extremely close to avoid distance issues

thanks for the reply. yes, it is finally updated. i guess automatically.
but for some reason yesterday afternoon, i checked, it said it was ready for an update, i hit Install, and then it told me there was an incorrect path.
but, all good now

newbie trying to update firmware

i am sorry for such a basic question, but typical firmware upgrades, I just point to any directory where the new firmware is, and i click ok and it updates.....
Not this one.
can someone please tell me where to put the firmware file so the meteohub finds it and upgrades to the new firmware ...
