Upload of less than 1 Minute

Post by AAMFlyer » Mon Feb 23, 2009 12:02 am

Wish List - Upload options of WDL/Clientraw.txt file of less than 1 mintue.

I saw that one person had come up with some additional PERL scripts - but I think that is probably outside of the my technical knowledge....

Thanks!

wouldn´t a pull service instead of a push one not be the far better solution?
What I mean?
All the clientrawfiles are updated for every 5 or 10 seconds on the local meteohub share
...\\public\\myweb\\upload.

WDL then needs to be configured that it reads from the local meteohub share which can be made public with dynamic DNS.

That may be far less resource consuming than uploading every 10s to an external ftp server.

If that were possible (I'm not a Flash programmer so I can't say if it is or not) then wouldn't it mean that each browser looking at the WDL page would be pulling their own copies of the clientraw files direct from Meteohub. If several people were looking at once I can imagine that consuming more resources than Meteohub pushing one set of files to an external server and letting the external server handle the multiple requests?
