U.K. Met Office WoW & MeteoHub

Post by VP2 » Mon Dec 31, 2012 3:59 pm

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me what Data is up loaded to the Met Office WoW site as when viewing the graph no Data is shown for Soil Temp/Moisture & Sunshine (Solar) although this Data is captured. It could be that The Met Office do not accept this Data or MetoeHub dose not send this Data.
Many thanks Alan

Update,
Resolved, the problem is with the WoW site as follows :-

Dear Alan,

We have been informed that we don’t currently support the 10, 30 and 100cm soil temperatures via our automatic API (about which more information can be found here: http://wow.metoffice.gov.uk/support?cat ... ataformats in the “Using the API directly” section) We are looking at whether we can introduce this in the future however.

There is an error in the table in the “Using the API directly” section though, where it states that any value submitted in the ”soiltempf” field is the “Soil Temperature”. In fact this is to record the temperature on the surface so would get stored in the “Grass Temperature” field in the “Table View”. We will be correcting this error when we do the next software release in the next few weeks, so thanks for your feedback as we may not have noticed this otherwise!

Kind regards,

James Saunders
