Raspberry PI 2 Update und andere Probleme

Post by Marvin » Sun Aug 23, 2015 8:16 pm

Hallo,

Marvin

Komische Symptome.

Please check "meteohub log" and "system log" if some file system related errors are reported.
When your file system has dropped to "read only" mode, copying an update image to it
will not work.

Apart from that I have no idea why something that works for all does not for your rig...

Root cause was a filled up root file system. Cleaning package install cache by
"apt-get clean" gave enough room again. Looks like this was a side effect of
self driven experiments, which then gets reported as an error here...

Hi Admin, could you please tell me how you I should clean the cache? Am good with Mac or PC, but out of my depth trying to navigate from Linux  I have to unplug my RPi 2 running Meteohub every few days to reboot. Hopefully I can get to upgrade the software to the later version after the card has been cleaned

I have found that a stated 16Gb Sony card was being read as a 4Gb for some reason, so I was unable to update the meteohub software as there wasn't enough room on the card

After changing passwords I was able to log into using SSH in Terminal and do an "apt-get clean" but because of the earlier statement, there still wasn't sufficient space. I will reformat that card again and check that the 16Gb is the correct stamping.

I guess after a few hours fishing I am a little wiser
