clientraw.txt updates

Post by aeng2 » Sun Mar 04, 2018 2:20 pm

raintotal in Clientraw.txt is updated once an 1 hour. Not realtime.

So raintotal(clientraw7) in clientraw.txt is always 1 hour old.

In the Live Data tab the values are correct

Same problem with tempmax (clientraw 46)

SW-versie: Meteobridge 3.6 (Mar 3 2018, build 12117), FW 1.4

Hi,
I also would like to see this fixed. I use WeatherStation to show data on my website, and I use the ClientRaw file. Now the current temp sometimes shows a higher temperature than the maximum temperature. That looks a bit strange. Also the rain-graph is only updated once an hour, so the graph is not "smooth". So I hope you find some time to fix this!

Thanks in advance!

Meteobridge PRO defines certain upload intervals for the 4 different types of clientraw files. As some of those files are rather expansive to produce (binding a lot of resources) the ones holding tons of long-term data are upgraded less often.

Here are the intervals:
- clientraw 1 min
- clientrawextra 10 mins
- clientrawdaily 1 hour
- clientrawhour 2 mins

You can check here which data is in which file:
https://www.tnetweather.com/wdparserold ... mit=Submit

The whole structure of the files is a nightmare and it is complete pain in the ... to get those generated.

When it makes you sleep better I can make sending of "clientrawdaily" a bit more often, but it will never reach near real-time facility as this file also has tons of historical data which takes serious database traffic to generate.

When you want to have a proper dashboard, avoid this out-dated and ill designed upload format at all.
Modern templates don't use it much anymore, as far as I can see. HOMEWEATHERSTATION and Meteotemplate
have much better interfaces and are able to hold data on the server side instead of having thousands of
data points uploaded again and again. This is "old PC logic" where computing power and upload volume is
at no cost and even there it is simply an extremely bad design.

Thanks for your reply. My workaround is to upload both Clientraw.txt and Realtime.txt to Weather station, and use the rain data from the Realtime.txt file.

Kind regards!
