Removing charts from Weather34

Apologies if this is the wrong place for this question if so could someone please point me in the right direction?

I setup my metobridge to point to my weather34 install, however it was using some bad data for the first few days and I'd love to kill the data off so its not reporting bad data.

Would anyone know what files I need to remove to kill the charts and stored data in weather34 so I can start my records afresh?

How do you use Weather34 ?
With the Raspberry Pi out of the Live Data menu,
or do you have the template hosted on a web server and your Meteobridge sends the data string as a http request ?
Your text sort of points into the direction of the latter, but I need to be sure to give a proper answer.
(as the answers will be different depending on your use of W34)

And, if I read your question properly, you don't want to remove charts but observation data in one or more of the charts, either remove or correct them, correct ?

Thanks for the response, I am not using Meteohub in the live data tab I decided to host it externally and just send to it using services so I could get some of the bells and whistles not in the pre-deployed version.

I would like to remove the longer term observation data and then re-gen the charts if possible.

- the daily, monthly data are stored as .csv files in the Weather34/weather34charts/year folder year = 2019, 2020, 2021 ...
e.g. in the Weather34/weather34charts/2020 folder your will find the files named
January.csv thru December.csv
and for each month the daily files: 1Jan2020.csv .....31Dec2020.csv - note: the month files don't have the year in their names.

- in the Weather34/weather34charts folder, the yearly .csv files are stored, e.g. 2019.csv, 2020.csv ...

these files can be edited in MS Excel or in Notepad/Notepad++ (I did everything in NP/NP++)

- the daily files have a different "structure" from the monthly and yearly files (entries are every 10 full minutes - in principle, sometimes it slips to the 9th minute,) - they are created by the chartstoday.php which runs every ten minutes

- sometimes dates (day numbers) in the monthly, yearly files appear twice and you may want to correct them - only correct the day, the data are correct; if you find 2 x 22 the 2nd 22 will have to be 23 - it may have happened several times in the month

- monthly and yearly files have the same "structure" = data and sequence of data per entry - entries are always per day)
for the history only the monthly and yearly files are interesting - once the day is over, the day files are never touched again, the year file is contains all the entries of the month files in our files: 2020.csv, 2019.csv, 2021.csv ...

You will not find that documented anywhere - it's only "documented" in the file system and in the program code
had to figure that out myself

the structure of the month/year files is:
Weather34-monthly files structure/content
1: Day Month - the first entry is a copy of the last entry of the previous month
2: T out high
3: T out low
4: dew point high
5: dew point low
6: rain total
7: max gust m/s
8: max average wind m/s
9: average temp out
10: sea level pressure high
11: sea level pressure low

(unfortunately the forum software removes blanks and draws the numbers together,
the comma after 1, 2, 3, ... should have been positioned above the respective comma of the data))

if you have only a few entries to correct, you just load the respective month (and year !) files into Notepad locate the entry, change it and save the file back (be careful not to save it as .txt file but with the .csv extension)

For bulk updates, imports - create comma separated files in the above structure.
For the months (only interesting as long as you are in the actual year), just save the monthly portion as Month.csv (e.g. February.csv) into the ./year directory.

If the year is before the actual year, you don't need to worry about the monthly files.
You only have to create the yearly files (e.g. 2020, 2019, ...) - same procedure as with the monthly files.
Only, the 2020.csv, 2019.csv ... files need to be copied into the ./weather34charts/ directory.

Weather34 as I know it can (so far) only handle the current year and one year back. You want more (and also see the proper year numbers in the interface/template), you have to change code respectively duplicate and modify existing .php files.

Unless Brian (Underdown - developer of Weather34) provides you with the respective files to be able to go further back and display you data basis (2017.csv, 2018.csv, 2019.csv, 2020.csv), you can only go back one year before the current year - or have to modify the file code.

something to add
in 2020 with the introduction of the Aurora flavour of the W34 dashboard, 3 new graphs have appeared and need to be fed - wind bearing, uv index and solar radiation - the bearing appears only in the current month charts, uv solar also in monthly and yearly charts.
If you want to see the uv and solar radiation values for the 2020 charts (2019 remains classical), you will have to add these values to the day entries -
in the current month(s), year they are created by W34 Aurora MKII - but depending on when you started and how you upgraded etc. the entries may be missing in the month, year files (and will then not be shown in the respective graphs).

Right now I'm updating step by step my 2020.csv so I can also see the UV index and Solar Radiation data in the year 2020 view.
Once done, I will migrate the Aurora MKII to my public website (see signature) and replace the classical 8.34 version.
