Error in Clientraw-file. **solved**
Hi Boris,
There is an error in the Clientraw-file. Since updating to the current version there is a fault in the reporting of the location. This has happened before in dec of 2019, as reported here: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=14559
The error is in position 159 of the Clientraw-file. This is the wet bulb temperature-position. apparently the LAT and LON are moved up a position, so now the LAT (52.290000) is entered as the Wet-bulb value.
The attachment shows my client raw-file as parsed by the parser @saratoga-weather.org; https://saratoga-weather.org/wdparser.php
Kind regards,
Gerhard Witteveen

Re: Error in Clientraw-file: additional info
Hi Boris,
I narrowed the problem don, as best as i could.
It seems the entry no 140 (gust last min max) is missing (no real data or no hyphen(-) at this position. As soon as i enter a hyphen in this position everything works just fine again.
I hope this helps to solve this. Especially now we (finally...) seem to get some real wintery weather!
Thanks in advance!
Gerhard

Re: Error in Clientraw-file
I have also recognized some issues in the clientraw file and thus I created my own template which seems to work fine until now.
Very helpful to compare the data is this website: KLICK

Re: Error in Clientraw-file
thanks for your reply @WETHRE!
Could you tell me how you created the template? Maybe even share the template? Very interested!
Thanks!

Re: Error in Clientraw-file
Reverted to v.5.0, and now the ClientRaw/WDlive export is normal again. The file is now fully populated, while the latest software only showed just a few values.
I hope this helps in finding the problem!

Re: Error in Clientraw-file
Same problem here, reverted to v5.0
Re: Error in Clientraw-file
Issue should be fixed with most recent 5.1.
Re: Error in Clientraw-file
Thanks for fixing this issue! There is one minor issue left: The WD-Live/Clientraw file does not report the LON correctly. It misses the negative-sign. so in my case it reports my location as 5.57 W instead of the correct 5,57 E, or LON -5.950. My uneducated guess is that the minus symbol should be added
Attached the client raw.txt output.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Error in Clientraw-file
This "Clientraw file does not report the LON correctly." is always a "definition"-problemfotogw wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 10:57 amThanks for fixing this issue! Meteobridge, 9 out of 10 weather-programs, Google Maps a.o. do it "correctly" by the standard: EAST of 0 = positive, West of 0 is negative.
So newYork has a negative longitude and Moscow, Brussels or "The Veluwe in NL" a positive.
But there are others, such as WeatherDisplay which use the minus the other way around.
And clientraw is originally a WD file, therefor we all should use the WD way of seeing things when generating / using clientraw.
Otherwise the gadgets, apps or scripts we use together with the clientraw files will indeed put us on the other side of the globe.

Ah, that makes sense! Thanks for the clarification Wim!
