Loss of connection to the Davis Datalogger

Hello everyone, I would like to submit to you a problem that I have been experiencing for some time with a meteobridge that I have personally configured starting from a TP-LINK TL-MR3020v3.

This meteobridge transmits data from a Davis Vantage Pro 2 online and apparently works fine. The weather station is located in Italy, near the city of Bolzano (Bozen), in South Tyrol.

The station is registered with Weather Underground:
https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/ITRENTIN122

I also created its dedicated web page with Weather34:
http://www.meteotrentinoaltoadige.it/st ... rora-MKII/

The problem consists in the constant disconnections of the Davis Datalogger. Let me explain: the station works correctly for a few hours but, at a certain point, for some reason, the meteobridge is no longer able to interface with the Davis Datalogger and begins to publish missing data on the internet (in fact, horizontal dashes like these : "--").

The only way I have to get the meteobridge back to work is to restart it remotely. So I decided to set up a script that makes it restart every six hours, but sometimes when I go to consult the weather station data on the web I realize that the station is not uploading the data correctly anyway.

I specify that where I have installed the station I do not have a wired connection to the Internet, so the data is uploaded via the mobile network, with a sim card and a 3g / 4g modem of the Teltonika brand. Apparently, the Internet connection works perfectly: the meteobridge is always online, the problem is that it sends empty data packets to the Internet.

Now I've just restarted the meteobridge and everything seems to work fine but I'm sure it will disconnect soon.

I post the latest log:

Something with the USB connection to the logger is instable.

Code: Select all

logger (25.10.2021 14:59:10): station 0 (Vantage), can't open device /dev/ttyMH: No such file or directory
This is not a SW but a HW issue.

Any suggestion? Please... Even buy some new hardware, like console or datalogger...
