flattered thank you think if you just continue to use the simple update method it will remain painless unless you modify the files for personal preferences then simply the update could break them, guess those who do the tedious personal translations don't benefit .

that said Im merely currently trying to make it easier to use overall and not congest the layout whilst being able to keep all the various views of data in a friendly useable manner. there is a lot of data views available if you really think about it ..day,month,year charts,history,forecast,air quality, airport, earthquakes and so on .
I have just simplified the menu layout for displaying units this will be standard view and how the newer units switching will simply work.

Im going to leave you all in peace for a few days , my birthday tomorrow (Thursday 26th) , wife's birthday Friday 27th, wedding anniversary Sunday 29th so time to make up for some lost time and eat some good Turkish food and have a few drinks , see the relatives again as last year it didn't happen for obvious reasons .

so with that the units in the menu all available units are visible for you and anyone who visits your site so options for all visitors to choose .it doesn't break template or alter your default preference just simply via menu offers metrics options .*note the new simple units icon in the menu

I notice that there arent any charts or Almanac data for the Ecowitt lightning module

Is that because its work in progress or does it need more work on the Meteobridge side or is it something we are just going to have to live without

Just curious as to why really - no big deal

hi graham drop me an email next week sometime when your available preferably mornings ,i will quite happily make it all majestically work for you .sorry its not default supported but I really want to revert to Davis only , i find it mind blowing to support ecowitt, ive tried but so many different end user variations i just cant find a solution to suit all. so as above drop,an email ill quite happily make it work for you based on your configuration and simply approach it same way as I did for chuck and myself using weatherflow.

Hi Brian, a minor bug seen on Firefox but not on Chrome in the ALT display:

Doing a hover over the trend indicator in TEMP/HUMID/DEW/WIND modules causes the trend indicator to leap upwards by 100px or so. See below for WIND:

Hi Jason Im sorry but Firefox for many months renders stuff different it takes time to iron it out just have to live with it for now , it doesn't render the position:absolute as you would see/expect in a webkit browser like chrome, safari etc. I will look at it when I can unless you have a solution to hand ??? . tired of Firefox differences of late .. thought these days were over when the old Internet Explorer died or maybe its me ..

This new chart feature is also in new chart library just a simple enlarge file with a minor css difference.

Ok Jason reasonably easy to fix , if your one of the 24 downloads in last hour then you just need to download the update again and run it or just simply replace the weather34-alt-theme and weather34-os-theme.css files .thats it nothing else.

Will Metar work again?

dont know probably API is down or perhaps service is no longer . wait a week see if it reappears if not ill just remove it .no plans to replace it with anything else.

Cheers, Brian. Great job. Glad it was simple.

CheckWX.com, where the Metar data is pulled seems to be totally down at the moment.

No problem Jason but that earlier fix didn't work I've just uploaded another update .the original fix caused the temperature chart to open when clicking humidity, humidity to open when clicking dewpoint and so on.. .

so just run the update .just one of those unbearable hot and humid days here today makes everything seem tedious..thanks for the input
