Hi Brian,

My PurpleAir is registered and working on their map but I can't get the Template to pull data for it. To help me troubleshoot what is the url the Template is using to pull data for the PurpleAir devices. I believe my FW is blocking the Templates access to pull data from PurpleAir.

Hi Chuck,

Thanks for catching this issue it saves me a lot of FW troubleshooting. I see what you mean re purpleair.txt. I tried renaming and then re-saving the config and so far a new file has not been created.

Chuck & Brian,

A new purpleair.txt was created with the correct sensor info in it. Now I'm concerned about the 0 readings for part of the day? :-)

Hi Ron,

Glad to hear that your purpleair.txt is now updating. Relative to the low values you are seeing, I would give it time to acclimate. I believe it takes a few days. I am assuming you have it outside. If you have it inside, the near 0 values are common.

Take care,

Chuck

Hi Ron I can't help with actual hardware readings I don't own one so I think Chuck will be your best bet for advice .many thanks for the offer via email to obtain a purple air device..

I have adjusted the purple air ALT/OS theme modules to recognize CO2 if present in the hardware .

Download Update 24th September 2021
* (08:42) * Alt/OS adds CO2 if present in Purple Air Hardware
* (08:42) * Alt/OS aligns barometer trend value
* (08:42) * Alt/OS adds last 24 hour rain value

Chuck & Brian,

The Template is updating now renaming the one with Chucks data in it allowed a new one to be created.

The PurpleAir is acclimating as Chuck suggested. I think part of the problem was it being powered off intermittently by my solar charge controller. The VP2 console with its Nano, an ipad have use to display the template and the Purpleair are powered by the solar panels. I made some changes in configuration so now the power should be continuous unless we have a prolonged period of snow covering the panels .. :-)

Hi Ron,

Yes, that could definitely be it. They recommend steady running for a few days to get accurate results. I was lucky with my placement - I managed to get a hard wire power connection from my attic space.

Also, during the fall, in your area, the air may be very clean.

Best wishes,

Chuck

hello graham

im sorry the brand and alike are not supported any longer.. in terms of lightning it doesn’t conform to how ive used lightning with weatherflow for a number of years, the nonzerotime method is null after 3 days or aprox 72 hours and the standalone method with that brand is a bit confusing to maintain and setup . im so sorry but as i’ve mentioned quite a few times recently im streamlining the template because i cant support any stuff i dont own without the end user providing input at code level and at code level it needs to be a universal solution not a personalized solution as the another end user using a similar brand may have things all configured differently so it all becomes rather confusing for me to find a balance.

sincerely sorry but there are other templates around they may meet your requirements and offer better support going forward.

some may think ill lose users , can only say its a free template so the user base quantity is irrelevant and its not my incentive to plod along .I just want to have it all manageable and sometimes to achieve that you have to reduce the overhead for a manageable balance without it becoming a chore ..

your new url graham is not reachable here forgot to mention http://192.168.0.125/Aurora2/index.php
