Chuck & Brian,
The Template is updating now renaming the one with Chucks data in it allowed a new one to be created.
The PurpleAir is acclimating as Chuck suggested. I think part of the problem was it being powered off intermittently by my solar charge controller. The VP2 console with its Nano, an ipad have use to display the template and the Purpleair are powered by the solar panels. I made some changes in configuration so now the power should be continuous unless we have a prolonged period of snow covering the panels ..

Hi Ron,
Looks like your Purple Air unit is working well now.
Best wishes,
Chuck

Hi Chuck
that's the end of the todo list done I think

I added those based on a few pm/emails how to see charts in ALT/OS theme I show in screenshots here on the forum even though I've made it aware in the past so I guess an icon will eradicate that. should resemble this now and you should see a small update just pushed to GITHUB .
also made the top toolbar and bottom bar more device like appearance ..
have a good day

Brian, Nice additions to the Alt/OS screen it's become the 24/7 screen on the Kitchen iPad.
Chuck, Yes the PurpleAir is happier now that it's on a more stable 5v source plus I moved it further away from the house.

Good morning Ron
don't think the wife would appreciate one in the kitchen its her domain (woman's cave)

so I just have one in my man cave (office)

an old iPad Air2 hanging on the wall, using the OS theme is kind of cool and automated as theme light/dark auto adjusts to the time of day .
glad you got your purple air setup , I managed to get one ordered Monday cashed in a favor I did for someone so the exchange rate didn't hit my pocket
mine hanging on the wall , I do have a cheap OEM tablet I use in the basement(second man cave) when Im down there.

Hi Brian,
That is a nice neat setup you have mine is not as neat but I'm allowed to have the iPad with Template in the kitchen because it has become useful to my wife since she frequently heading out to do garden and refers to it. The 6th gen iPad in the kitchen is one I found on eBay which had a small dent in the aluminum bezel, it was New in Original Packaging.
Great with obtaining a PurpleAir.

I queried their support people about availability of VOC sensing they responded with a a nice note about obtaining a replacement sensor board.

Hi Ron,
Yes, the VOC is somewhat experimental and requires a little trial an error placement. They sent me a small IC board that I added to the Purple Air device. You remove the present sensor and replace it with a BME680 which has VOC. You have to disassemble the unit, but its simple and straight forward.
Best wishes,
Chuck

Thanks I don't need anymore noisy VOC digital bleepers, VOC sensor(gas detector) is an insurance requirement as our Combi boiler is GAS so we have numerous sensors positioned around the house .

Brian,
The PurpleAir has hung a few times where its lasers are visible but no wifi connection or setup mode only powering off and on gets it back online. It reconnects to wifi immediately plus the AP's 6dbi gain patch antenna is only 4ft from the PurpleAir. I'm trying the supplied power module instead of the 5v solar source.Thorough checks of the solar power 5 volts revealed it's stable and clean. We'll see how it goes with its supplied power module.
I lit a few incense sticks about 12" under it and got readings immediately so next we'll try a Hookah ...

You will see in the Template's History.
The readings drop back to 0 immediately afterwards.
I suspect this discussion should be on another board.
