Hi, Brian!
Do you have any plans to add their strength to the observation history of precipitation levels (for example, on the same chart as their number) how about, for example, a "Graph of Real Feelings Today" and related data?

Good evening Alex

Im sorry I don't fully understand your request unfortunately ..that said as of Monday unlikely any more additions to template for a few weeks ,off to our second home for a break from city life and this never ending pandemic (its taken a turn for the worst here), its almost impossible to actually enjoy doing anything here soon as you step outside in the city so much awkwardness, constant thinking of doing the right thing and simply impossible to relax. .anyway perhaps try and post an example(image) I might get what your requesting but as above won't happen for a few weeks until I feel recupperated .. take a look at Josep extensive modifications might you something to display.

have a good weekend..Brian

Hi Brian! That's what I mean (add the strength of the rain to the already existing accumulated precipitation chart)...

Change Log 31st October 2021

* (08:49) * Contains all features/fixes from Oct 1st to Oct 31st
* (08:49) * Matches all wind kts,ms,mph,kmh colors in charts
* (08:49) * Adds CanvasJs credit to OS themes
* (08:49) * Updates Almanac credit screens

please respect the credits , every effort has been made to make them unobtrusive and not dominate design so please I kindly ask respect the credits .

reworked wind speed colors in charts to match across all 4 metrics kts,m/s ,mph,km/h .

i will be away for a number of weeks with only my iPad,iPhone so no updates,fixes etc will be made until I return.. lesson learnt in the week i was using a third laptop just passing time whilst waiting at the airport and unaware it was syncing with my desktop and other laptop and i basically messed up the master on desktop thankfully hourly time machine backups saved the day..

It is not necessarily directly related to this template but again it is.
I now have an air quality meter an Airlink. I might want to buy another one. I see the possibility to add a Purple Air meter in the template. I suspect a 2nd Davis will be a problem. But that aside. I see that some of you have both an Airlink and a Purple Air meter. I have 2 questions:
Which one works better in terms of performance and output in your opinion. The second question is where do I buy Purple Air in Europe. I cannot find an address in the Netherlands. Of course I don't want to have to pay import duties. I am curious about your opinion and comments.
Thanks in advance,

Bart

Thanks Lorenzo just in time as I have a early morning flight so ive labeled the update 1st November as I won't have time in the morning to upload..
basically the missing icon is causing the alignment issue..

Change Log 1st November 2021

@Bart

template supports both purple air/airlink simultaneously best liaise with Chuck has he uses both . personally I didn't find the airlink that useful/interesting found it very much reflected whatever the humidity conditions were, that said I could not say it was poor reading or good readings as I have absolute no means of testing its accuracy , though I have a Nova sensor and an indoor sensor not one of them ever aligned with each other in terms of readings .
Purple Air I just bought one(cashed in a favor) but I am not aware of any distributor/reseller outside of USA and I have to pay import duty just the way it is . Even if there was a European distributor or reseller you would still pay extra without knowing it has they generally pass on the shipping leverage tax and their profit margin markup into the price so not sure you would save much in the end . I paid $35 dollars import charge + $8 administration handling fee.
Ive yet to install mine as I need to route a power cable and waterproof seal it routed under the lawn so the kids and dogs don't trip or chew the cable and ultimately gets it away from our air condition unit which played havoc with the Airlink readings...

remember a man who has two watches never knows the correct time..same for running multiple sensors measuring the same thing you will just sit there comparing one against the other and forget to use them for what they were intended for..so stick with your airlink ..

have a good Halloween :-) ...

You're right Brian. I have a WLL and a Davis console in the same room. Both give, for example, inside temp and air pressure. In the beginning I tried to match both readings. But at the slightest, there was another deviation. A day job indeed.

I've seen that you can add a scnd Airlink to that Wll. But I don't know what that will look like on the Davis bulletin. Not to mention that I don't find that bulletin handy at all. Your template is clearer, more beautiful, and even better. :D :D
So I don't buy Purple Air as long as they can't be bought at a normal price in Europe. I don't feel like financing the tax authorities. The VAT here is 21%. That is what customs also uses. :cry:
Thanks for your advice Brian.

By the way I read about your struggle with laptop desktop. I assume the cloud synchronization. I get around that by working with a set of separate directories (not hit by the cloud) and RealTime Sync. Might be useful if you're not using that software yet. Very useful if you set it up properly.

Have a nice day.

Hello.
I'm not a fan of home air quality sensors, if you have an official air quality station close by, I trust them more, I use an old 2016 From Brian script from the air quality government.
https://aqicn.org/here/

In my bad PHP I have adapted it to the current one.

It would be nice to recover this option.

There is indeed something wrong there. Click on average wind speed extra info- Click on zoom this month - click on 2021..... and you come to barometer. It doesn't bother me ... but still..
Have fun today.

Hello I have added a quick fix file which you can run through the simple update screen. unfortunately I can not compile simple updates at present(unlikely till towards end of month) so I just grabbed the two files from the master GITHUB repo and zipped them up .

Hope that resolves it but Im thinking it may confuse some , nothing ever turns out as simple as it should(thought) , its a simple 4kb file and simply run it through the updater screen it will update necessary files(2) but only run it after or if you have not run the November 1st update please update first with the November 1st update.

Sincere apologies some things got messed up last week and Bart I wasn't aware the computer I was using was connected to my iCloud in fact I wasn't even aware it was connected to wireless but it was preconfigured to tether through my iPhone which I totally forgot about.anyway my mistake ..

Quick Fix Update 2nd November 2021

* (14:53) * Only use quick fix if you have run the November 1st Update
* (14:53) * Quick Fix can be run through simple update screen
* (14:53) * Wind Average chart missing data/incorrect link Ref Lorenzo/Bart

Hi Bart,

I have both the Purple Air and the Davis unit. I have been, generally, pleased with both. The Purple Air has worked well for about 2 years. I use the Davis for Inside Measurements and the Purple Air for outside, so I cannot compare their data. The Purple Air does a good job of detecting Air Quality conditions within a local environment. If a neighbor (200-300 meters) is burning a wood fireplace it registers immediately. When a cold front moves through you will see the air quality improve very quickly. The VOC detection is new and experimental.

Likewise, the Davis Airlink detects small changes indoors (cooking, airborne sprays etc.)

As Brian said, I don't think the Purple Air unit is directly available in the European market, at this time.

Best wishes,

Chuck

My Davis Airlink (indoor - conservatory) also works well and is also very responsive.

It goes completely off the scale to hazardous when I'm cooking and have the extractor on (which exits the kitchen only 2-metres from the roof of the conservatory). Likewise the passing of fronts, being good or bad air, is also well detected. I only got it because it had a UK importer which PurpleAir lacks.

I have homegrown AQI & VOC monitors connected to my raspberry pi which reasonable well correlates to the AirLink. https://jmfweather.uk/aqivocmod_uk_j.php
