so this is how it panned out

uv/solar/air quality are all based on setup settings if particular hardware is set to yes i.e uv sensor == yes purple air== yes and so on

also recoded the rainfall to reflect max day total and date occurred alongside relevant year total

if no just displays relevant year phrase "Almanac Data 2022 etc , I have coded back to 2020 as that was when the extra sensor data for charts were added

so end of week do a simple update ..

Firstly a big thank you to Torsten for taking the time to compile a big part of this update .

This simple update is quite a significant update so it is very very important you do a back up of your current template install in the event something is wrong.
The update provides max, min ,average, rain total acumm for data going back to 2021 it does not provide history almanac data prior to that year (2021) simple reason during 2020 July the structure of the charts and collected data changed significantly adding more data from various sensors therefore the extra data is not present prior to July 2020 !!! so please don't ask or raise it as an issue Im totally aware of it . it is kind of complex to come up with a script to eradicate missing data or cater for data that don't exist.
additional code was added/modified from Torsten's original now caters for Rain total,max day rain , air quality via Purple Air or Davis Airlink ,fallback for no uv sensor but have solar sensor or if neither is present.


Update also includes numerous fixes raised over the last few months that got left aside so I thank you for raising those .

Adds Almanac data to chart footer (Torsten)
Fixes missing links in info hardware popup (cant remember who emailed this one but you know who you are ..thank you)
Fixes incorrect firerisk code (Josep)
Fixes numerous sunrise/sunset deprecated code (George)
Adds requested Earthquake module option in position 11 in theme 6 (George)
mmHG use simplified across all themes/layouts

my 2021 graphs say directory can't be found but 23,22,20,19 work.

also my highs and lows on the modules are recording one hour in the future. ie if new high is at 9:40, it shows 10:40 despite current time being correct on header. this was true before and after april 23 simple update. (i have 5 stations and this is true on all of them)

does the current simple update completely update the master if you missed some previous simple updates?

correction. the high/lows times on the modules are correct on my one US station. the 4 in southern baja have the problem. i'm guessing its a php issue with the America/Mazatlan timezone. mexico ceased changing to daylight savings time this year in all of mexico except the border states...

this update adds the sun/moon module to theme 6 .this module completely reworked to match other modules in this theme(6) .this module also the moonphase script has been totally simplified and has simple small svg image to reflect current phase.

adds more options to layout 6 in setup screen

this update contains all files updated since August 2022 so important if you are on a version prior to August 2022 this update will not update correctly.

So there we are lots of module options to cater for everyone..

Johnscal sorry I'm not sure I get why a timezone difference would prevent 2021.csv being found perhaps provide a url so I can take a look to see if I can spot anything . FWIW we switched to no daylight here in Istanbul Turkiye ..a few years ago wouldn't want it any other way we simply don't deal with the inconvenience of time changes .initially a few home devices(mostly automated timers)/solar panel control box had issues but most of those were fixed with updates or replacements .I see absolutely no benefit in dealing with daylight saving inconveniences..

i think the timezone problem relates to various versions of php including 8.2.4 using a olson timezone db from 2021. there are more current ones on the php site but no windows dll to integrate it with iis using pecl extension. apparently it can be compiled with visual studio but kind of above my head.

you say the updates are for after the aug 22 update. my last update was 2021. it looks like the final master file you have posted has files from 2022. i tried starting over with that master and applying latest update. is that the correct that the updates should include everything changed from that final?

after doing so, it all looks good except layout 6 doesn't render correctly. see attached.

another long standing issue is whenever i start with a new master. the data update always says 53 years, i have to replace data_updated.php with an old copy from 2020 to make it work

finally you say verified for php 8.2.4. after switching to that, the updater no longer works and errors saying the version of php does not support unzip functionality. backup no longer work either. so reverted to 8.1...

never mind on the php 8.2.4 zip not working. for some reason iis installed it with zip extension disabled. now it works after enabling...

ugh. layout 6 wasn't rendering because i hadn't defined new parameters in setup. now it works...
