Telling again and again that your RPI runs with your Raspian card does not help here

Using disk utility on mac I erased the card. Redownloaded the .bin file for Raspberry PI 3. Went back to balenaEtcher and this is the error message I get:

I get the same error message on my Windows 10 as well

Disregard the error message I finally got it loaded but it still doesn't show up on the router. You've got me!

The difficulty you had flashing the download to your microSD card may suggest a hardware problem with the microSD card. Flash the card with a Raspbian OS image you know is good and see if it will load and run. You can also flash the downloaded bin to a non SLC microSD card and see if that will load. It will give an error message since it’s not a supported microSD card but it will load and run the software.

The card isn't big enough to load raspbian on it. But I'll try a regular sd card and load the .bin to see and I'll let you know.

I tried 2 other sd cards and none of them work. So I don't know what to do now. Thanks to everyone for their help. I still have the TP-Link running so I'm sending data!

View the contents of your microSD card and see if all the necessary files are displayed. It appears that there may be a hardware problem with your microSD card reader/writer and it’s not writing the contents of the bin file correctly.

Now I have to plead ignorance! How will I know if all the files are there?

I noticed something strange to me maybe not to you. Using balenaEtcher to flash and write the .bin to the SD card. After writing to it with either Mac or Windows I can see the files, but after I place it in the RPI and then remove it and plug it back into the Mac or Windows that Micro SD card in no longer readable.

I just downloaded the RPi 3B 3B+ bin file on my MacBook running Windows 7 on Bootcamp and flashed it to the exact same 2GB SLC microSD card you have using the latest version of Balena Etcher. It flashed fine and I could see all of the files when opening up the microSD card. I put it in an RPi 3B I have and it loaded just fine ( red led flashed slow, then fast, then went solid. The green led flashes whether the led is flashing slow or fast or is on all the time ). I found the IP address assigned by my router using the Fing App on my iPad ( I have a Fingbox attached to my router ).
Using this IP address I was able to logon to the Meteobridge/RPi and configure it.
After disconnecting power I removed the microSD card and put it in my card reader and put it in my MacBook. It opens up just fine and I can see all of the files that were flashed to it. I reinserted into my RPi and it booted up fine.
I don’t know why your microSD card is somehow being erased or reformatted just by inserting it into your RPi.
What type of card reader are you using. If using a microSD to SD Card Adapter have you accidentally engaged the lock button on the Adapter ?.

On first boot meteobridge extends the initial partion to make use of the full size of the used microSD card. Unless you pull off cards in panic, this all goes fine. I close this unproductive thread of phantom problems.
