Sorry for delay, had inlaw problems, all sorted now. Just to clarify the battery data are they a complete package with this part number or are they individual cells?

No rush here. As I said in e-mail I'm not at all sure I want to get a new battery (but interesting of course to know if it is possible).

There is one physical unit ~ 150mm x 65mm x 85mm which in addition to the technocal labelling already mentioned describes itself as a "sealed maintenance-free rechargeable battery".

It is obviously intended to be a replaceable unit (and much of the UPS sales literature described it as such), but when it started to fail I found that though many places sold the UPS I couldn't find any where that sold the replacement batttery! So I moved back to using APC...
