Thanks Boris….everything is working fine in the cloud version except being able to upload my previous archive data.

I am so happy you have taken on the dashboard and it will continue to be supported.

Being able to upload my archive would be amazing!

I have changed the Aurora templates to work around exec calls. Please give it another try.
Local installs should now just offer Download of data, no upload. But this should be fine to transfer data to the cloud installs.

Boris,

Thanks so much for helping me out. I have downloaded the local update files from earlier in this thread and managed to update my local install. I got the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected token ";" in /customers/8/4/1/paulwilman.com/httpd.www/pw2/console-setup.php on line 258

When I go back into the console setup screen.

I have moved forward because I can now access the dashboard screen after I have updated the local install.

If it helps the test version is located at www.paulwilman.com/pw2

Ooops, there was a typo inside the console-setup.php. The just updated Aurora Master and Update archives have this fixed.

Thank you for helping to get this right.

Boris,

I have managed to update my local version and can now access the console setting file and click on the download button. I now get the following error:

Warning: unlink(archive.tar.gz): No such file or directory in /customers/8/4/1/paulwilman.com/httpd.www/pw2/console-setup.php on line 8 Fatal error: Uncaught UnexpectedValueException: phar error: "/customers/8/4/1/paulwilman.com/httpd.www/pw2/archive.tar" is a corrupted tar file (checksum mismatch of file "") in /customers/8/4/1/paulwilman.com/httpd.www/pw2/console-setup.php:11 Stack trace: #0 /customers/8/4/1/paulwilman.com/httpd.www/pw2/console-setup.php(11): PharData->__construct('../archive.tar') #1 {main} thrown in /customers/8/4/1/paulwilman.com/httpd.www/pw2/console-setup.php on line 11

So sorry I am being a pain.

Paul

I added some Error messages, please try again with just released update.

Looking at your php-info I see that "phar" (which is needed to build the archive from within php is set to "readonly"). As the list mentions that there are user and global settings for this, there might be a chance to overwrite this somehow with user settings to allow writing of archives. These limited webspace PHP installs can really be a pain.

If this does not work, I have one last silver bullet left ;-)

Boris,

Just seen your latest message and it sounds like this might be a local issue to me?

Just installed the latest update to my local install and now get the following error message:

Error: Cannot create archive file: UnexpectedValueException: phar error: "/customers/8/4/1/paulwilman.com/httpd.www/pw2/archive.tar" is a corrupted tar file (truncated) in /customers/8/4/1/paulwilman.com/httpd.www/pw2/console-setup.php:12 Stack trace: #0 /customers/8/4/1/paulwilman.com/httpd.www/pw2/console-setup.php(12): PharData->__construct('../archive.tar') #1 {main}

Looks like this is to do with phar(what ever that is).

I am going out in about 30 mins until later afternoon, so wont be able to make any updates for the moment.

Even after updating I couldn't download the archive from the old installation, so I used https://filezilla-project.org.
Now I uploaded everything to the new version on the cloud and everything works fine.

New Aurora Master and Update archives have been built. When you install the Update on you local Aurora install it includes a feature that allows your Meteobridge Aurora Cloud install to read history data from it.

Goto this section on your Meteobridge Aurora Cloud setup. Direct this cloning feature to your existing Aurora site and an archive of the data will be stored on your PC.

Having downloaded the archive to your PC you can Upload the archive data to your new Meteobridge Aurora cloud install

That way your old Aurora install does neither need "exec" nor "Phar write" services enabled.

Yes, I did all this but the download from the local version was always 0 bytes so I used filezilla.
Then I compressed everything into tgz format and uploaded it to the new Aurora, everything works for me.

Boris,

I officially give up (with One.com). I managed to get the archive to work. I downloaded the archive data and went into the cloud version to upload. I got the error message Error: Upload of new data failed (file too big according to php limit). I assume this is yet another limit that my hosting company is putting on me. The size of the archive file is 5.3 mb

I had the same problem. Try uploading one year at a time. Leave “delete old data: no”.

Lorenz1982,

Thanks so much for your advice. That worked spot on. I now have all of the archive data from my local install, back to 2019 uploaded to my cloud install. I am finally a very happy man.

Thanks to you and Boris for helping me.
