Hello Chuck I just pushed an update to GIT basically cleans up code and layout . also in small lightning module after 1 day the phrase Extra Info will appear instead of example 12 Hours 3 Mins Ago .
the exact time ago appears in larger popup as normal i.e 5 days ago etc
so should resemble this but yours will have less previous years .

Hi Brian,
I have the latest lightning update and I edited my data files to correct the February date and add in the January 2021 strikes.
Looks like everything is fine.
Thanks,
Chuck

also simple update was updated .its worth what me and chuck are using is a separate TPLINK with meteobridge software just to drive a weatherflow lightning sensor so all this recent lightning stuff is only related to that.Ecowitt extra sensors are not supported in any way template has no idea what or how to handle those so Im afraid those emailing thinking they found a bug Ecowitt is simply not catered for .sounds harsh but Im simply not getting sucked into that array of mess especially has I dont own any of it so I stand little chance of resolving anything related to Ecowitt.
Simple update 8th Feb
* Adds lightning charts for WF lightning sensor(TPLINK) (6:14pm).
* Adds color bar charts for year barometer (6:14pm).
* Template does not support Ecowitt extra sensors!! (6:14pm).
* Ecowitt owners there not bugs ! (6:14pm).
* Ecowitt owners your hardware simply is not supported (6:14pm).

Hi, Brian!
Today, again, the day was not saved "automatically" on MK2 (everything is fine on the parallel working MK1).
Here, by the way, there is a strip in the lower right corner.

Morning, I installed by Weather34 Aurora template on 21st January, link here: -
https://wessexweather.net/weather34/
Browsing the charts yesterday I noticed data from before I set up the template, specifically a temperature of 30.2C recorded on 15th January which would be quite some record for the UK!
My question is: Were there data files bundled into the script I downloaded on 21st January? In the weather34charts directory you can see the data I mean: -
http://wessexweather.net/weather34/weat ... s/2021.csv
There is also a 2021 directory in there that contains what appears to be lot of old files. Can someone tell me which files I can safely edit or delete to resolve this?

good afternoon
in the 2021 folder only the current day is used i.e 9Feb2021.csv so any day dated file prior to that is not required anymore so the choice is yours if you wish delete any previous dates . i tend too run an automator at end of month and delete previous months its just regular maintenance.
that said always do a backup just in case you delete the month file .
your high temp
just delete the line which doesn’t correlate to your data . i.e 15th Jan there are duplicate dates.but beware make sure you carriage return on the last date example 8th Feb so the cursor is on a new line.many edit files and not realize the next line of generated data ends up out of sync .
there are users who understand the chart scripts and use those old dated files to pull up a chart for specific dates but I leave that to those who are prepared to learn the code.
download often contains past date files but once the date has passed there not displayed or required . most csv files in download are just dummy data used for creating out of season scenarios, i.e now its winter theoretically here so its good for me to have summer data to hand to check a scenario.
fwiw anyone not seeing any data generated for month,year charts at 12:15am try using 2am so far ive not seen any issues but ive yet to fathom out why many run at 12:15am without any problems but a small percentage including myself sometimes see no data generated at 12:15am .

Brian: Update 8th Feb 2021 - Weather34-large-cam.php
My webcam image is large. In yesterday's update it is no longer scaled to fit the data-lity pop-up window size but instead has scroll-bars.
https://jmfweather.uk/a2/index.php and
https://jmfweather.uk/a2/weather34-large-cam.php.
This is the same on Chrome or Safari.

Looks like it did have the updated file:
Code: Select all
date_default_timezone_set($TZ);
$date = date_create();
$year=date('Y');
//disable error logging if you get server errors
error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_DEPRECATED);ini_set("display_errors","off");
//create the current month file example folder/file path = weather34charts/2021/July.csv
$weatherchartfilemonth ="weather34charts/".$year."/".date('F')."strikes.csv";
$weather34chartdata = date('j M').",".$weather["lightningmax"]."\r\n";
//$output=$weatherchartfilemonth;
$fp = fopen($weatherchartfilemonth, 'a+');
fwrite($fp,$weather34chartdata);
fclose($fp);
//create the year file example folder/file path = weather34charts/2021.csv
$weatherchartfileyear = "weather34charts/".date('Y')."strikes.csv";
$weather34chartdata1 = date('j M').",".$weather["lightningmax"]."\r\n";
//$output1=$weatherchartfileyear;
$fp1 = fopen($weatherchartfileyear, 'a+');
fwrite($fp1,$weather34chartdata1);
fclose($fp1);
Not sure. I will correct the data files and see what happens tomorrow.
