MB + Davis WLIP or USB logger

What would be the advantages and disadvantages between MB+Davis USB logger and MB+Davis WLIP or for that matter a MB+Davis serial logger/USB adapter.
My main interest is from a remote station perpestive in respect of power requirements, data storage/access, remote configuration/changes (Envoy) or any other points of interest that some might have.
