Success! Tiny no-cable USB 2.0 hub works with Meteobridge

To get my Meteobridge up and running a few weeks ago, I used a full-size seven-port USB 2.0 hub.
My "Cute USB Mini 2-Port USB 2.0 Hub Splitter" arrived today from Amazon and was immediately plugged into the TP-Link MR3040 with Meteobridge firmware/software. It translates the USB 1.1 output of the Davis Vantage Pro2 console to the TP-Link just fine.
Basically the same price as the recommended Belkin hub ($10 US). Comes in multiple colors and is very small; 7/8" long x 3/4" square around (2.2 cm x 1.9 cm).
