RPi and WLAN Dongle

Hi, i just installed Meteohub and it runs fine. I use the B version of the Pi and now i want to use a wireless dongle to connect to the network. I have a dongle with the RTL8188SU chip but it dont get the wireless option in the network settings.
Whats wrong here? Can you help me?

Not all WLAN dongles are supported. Meteohub connects to those that are supported by the
underlying Raspbian image.

Ok, i know this page and my chipset is supported. When i install the standard raspian image my dongle works absolutly fine.
Anyway, what dongle works in your installations?
Maybe i have to buy a new one.
