Upgrade meteobridge version 2.2 to 2.4 problems **solved**

Yesterday I rebooted my mereobridge and now runnung version 2.4
I'm having a few issues.
1: I have a "ghost" error in the weather network status on the "Live Data" tab.
2: Getting regularly checksum errors.
3: Had a few times that the logger stalled because "adress already in use" and the historical data field went blank.
With the 2.2 version never had a problem, now with the 2.4 problems as described above.
I also can't go back to version 2.2?
Any suggestions on how to improve stability would be appreciated.
Tjeerd.

. . . shortened . . .
You could try to set the Meteobridge tab System => Version control => dropdown to "Stick to version 2.2"
Never tried it, but it could / should work?

Hello Wim.
I've tried to go back to version 2.2 in the way you described, but this does not work, I'm unable to go back to version 2.2
When I select stick to 2.2 and reboot, it's still version 2.4 after the reboot.
Going back to version 2.3 is also impossible.
The button does not seem to work.
It stays in newest version mode......
I'll keep trying.
Is there a USB version of 2.2?
I haven't tried that yet.
Is it even possible to go back from 2.4 to 2.2?
For now I am still using 2.4 but the messages keep on coming in the system tab, Meteobridge does report correctly to the weather networks and my website.
Greetings Tjeerd.

Looks much like config failures. 2.4 runs stable. If it is a WMR200 tons of checksum
errors are normal (may be 2.2 did hide that in the logs).
Are you using the USB hub?

Hello.
Yes I am using a USB 2.0 hub so that is not the cause of my problems unless it is broken, but thats unlikely
Is it possible to go from version 2.4 back to 2.2?
I am monitoring my meteobridge regularly now, and keep an eye on my website status.
If meteobridge 2.4 keeps running and there are only checksum errors then thats ok for me.
Only if there are major issues with the data transfer to weather networks and my website, I will take further action.
By the way, the remote login via the internet link on my meteobridge isn't working, service unavailable?
I'll keep you posted.
Greetings Tjeerd.

Did you wait the 5 minutes?

After 5 mins login was fine.
HTTP "ghost" error was a misconfigured HTTP success string.
A reboot cleared up the socket errors.

I've sent you a pm.
No I didn't wait 5 min.
Is that at startup of meteobridge?
Please explain or a link to topic?
Missed that bit.
Thanks Tjeerd.

From the wiki in the explanation of options on "system" tab:
Meteobridge offers a feature that allows you to login from the Internet without the need to configure your router accordingly. This feature is turned off per default to maximize your Internet security. When you switch this service on it will take 5 minutes until your Meteobridge is available per an individual URL from the Internet.

Well....
After the help of admin I'd hope the problems would be solved.
But NO, at about 10.20pm local time yesterday (just 20 minutes after reboot by admin) my logger stopped completely leaving the historical data field empty and during the night no data was sent to my website and the weather networks.
I discovered this early in the morning and had to reboot my meteobridge again.
Since the reboot at about 6.00am it hasn't had a mishap, hope it stays good.
On version 2.2 I never had the loggerproblem.
It says something about address already in use in the message box on the systems tab and then the logger stops.
I'll keep in touch on how things are developing here.....
Anyone recognize this problem?
Greetz Tjeerd.

I'm seeing the same periodic data logger failure with 2.4. Restarting the logger or rebooting the device fixes it, until the next time it happens.
In the system messages I see: "logger (14.01.2015 03:47:08): child process received timeout signal (14)."

Platform is DIR-505? What does RAM usage say on "system" tab?
