Hi,
I'm trying to setup a PI B+.
It runs from browser but I an't access it through Windows Explorer in order to net map public folder, as I did with NSLU2.
I get prompted with user and password but I don't know what to enter as meteohub meteohub fails.
Anyone can put some light on it?

TIA,
Chill

Hi there..

Is it life in the forum?
I thought it was a very elemental question
Anyone has mapped /public folder from a Windos XP pro?

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Chill

Yes there is life, but it looks no-one is facing this issue.
Just mounting it as a network device and making sure the workgroup
is matching is all it needs... user meteohub, password meteohub.

Are you familiar with windows networking? workgroups? etc?

Hi Boris.
After reading your post I realized I've forgotten to change the Group name. I've it already working!
I'll try to make it with the new PI. Let's evolve!

Thanks.

Hi there,
I use to access \public\uploads folder with NSLU2 but it says now this folder doesn't exist or it prompts for a different user and password.
It has changed? Or I need to provide different info ?

TIA,

Chill

Hi Boris,
Still, has anything changed on having access to \public\uploads folder?
I can't access with RPI buty I can with NSLU2...

TIA,
Chill

Can you please provide a screen dump what you entered and how the error message looks like?

I tried with my RPI2 and it works flawless.

Hi Boris,
Here it's the picture showing the message I told in my previous message:

"Acceso denegado" means "Access denied"
It prompts you to try to log in as Administrator, but no success in doing it!
TIA,

could be that your m: drive is already mapped with Explorer. And Windows can map one resource only once!
I would try to disconnect the current mappings. Best Methode to check is using Command prompt and command NET USE

Hi wfpost,
Not really, in fact I'm not trying to map it... While browsing M: (\public) folder you see the subfolders and the only one I can't access is \uploads.

Thanks anyway,

Chill

Hi Chill,
uploads and lost&found is not accessible, only by the system itself.
So this behaviour is totally normal.
If you need to find the uploaded data, you have to check "local copy in /public/myweb/uploads" in graphics upload page...

Hi Peter,
Thanks for your answer.
Although it works, as a workaround, it must be a change from NSLU2 behavior where I can browse Uploads folder flawlessly.

Anyway, it rocks!

Have a nice day!
