Hi

Does anybody have information on the setup of an Oregon WMR300 on the RPi.
I have managed to get the v5.0i software onto the Pi and it sees the WMR300 as avaibale device and sees the Oregon WMR-300 as a USB HID device.

When I go to the Sensor page and try and add sensors, I and getting a message of "error connect socket 127.0.0.1:5555 : Connection refused"
"Warning: Data logging has been halted."

The 127.0.0.1 is normally an internal loop address of a device.

I have looked at the manuals on the website, but they all seem to be out of date and don't cover the latest version of the software and obviously not covering the install of the WMR300 and reference to setup and install on a RPi.

Any help would be great.
Thanks

Thank you for the response.

Can you tell me where I can find 5.0j as I need to download it manually and install manually.

One of the little quirks I have found is that you can't set up an IP address once you "untick" the DHCP box unless it finds a valid weather station.
And even when it did find my WMR-300, it still didn't accept the new IP address.
Hence, it is not connected to the network and need to do uploads of software updates from PC.

Then there is a message about the Network address changes not taking affect until there is a re-boot.
Is there a re-boot "button" on any of the screens, as I have not seen any or do I have to power off and on?

Cheers.

I cannot confirm the quirk you report. Just do settings and press "save", ignore what is displayed and reboot.
However, update is located here: http://www.meteohub.de/files/update-v5.0j.upd

Reboot can be done on on "maintenance" page.

Thank you.

Didn't need to upgrade to 5.0j
Once I rebooted it (power off and on) it picked up the new Network settings and was able to connect to it via my LAN. It also picked up the sensor and was able to configure for collection.

Did try an do the software upgrade through the Auto update and it found the 5.0j file, but didn't do the update when selected update.

Now have data going to Wunderground, so all looking good.

Thank you.
