CWOP Server Setting

I was having a problem on my GRLevel3 not showing my station on the map using the CWOP placefile.

Looking at the raw data from both my station and a nearby one that was working OK, I noticed that the uploads from meteohub were always using CWOP-2.

The nearby station that was showing up OK was rotating across the APRS servers.

I noticed in the meteobridge network setting that there was an APRS upload option that allowed setting the server name and port. I used cwop.aprs.net:14580 and my station started showing up in the placefile.

Is there an option to change the server in meteohub? Even if I need to change a configuration file (I know my way around Linux), it would be OK.

I have to admit, that I am a bit tired on finding out what the CWOP server addresses of the week are ;-)

Could you please point me to a the list of servers to actually work with? CWOP is for the non-insider
very complicated on things that really don't need to be complicated. Why can anyone invent the
idea of rotating names instead of having a constant name and doing load balancing with a logic
behind this... as everyone in the world is doing...

This is what I plugged into meteobridge under the APRS settings and it rotates through the servers, avoiding whatever the issue is at Allisonhouse/GRLevel3 and CWOP-2. Using the CWOP settings on meteobridge didn't work either, only this APRS trick worked.

cwop.aprs.net:14580

Here is the tail end of my raw CWOP data: (you can see the various servers that it is using, some of which must be OK on Allisonhouse)

I see CWOP-1, 6, 4, 5, 7 and 3 as well as the dreaded "2".

As of this writing, my CWOP station is showing up on the GRLevel3 maps. The entire issue is puzzling, since all other maps, sites, etc. showed the data OK while using CWOP-2. This is kind of a workaround for the Allisonhouse issue. They still don't have a handle on the problem yet.

The response I received from AH was that their connection to CWOP-2 goes "stale" quickly.
They were surprised that Meteohub is not using the "round robin" rotate method. That is what they recommend.

Luckily amazon.com does not ask us to do "round robin" ala
amazon-1.com, amazon-2.com, ...oh no, amazon-2.com is not
feeling so good today, you should know that and use amazon-7.com
until this weeks end, and give amazon-6.com a preference on
next week...

My recommendation is that they start using proper load balancing
techniques instead of asking the users to do that for them.
