Is anyone using a D-Link DIR-505

I am still having trouble with my brand new D-Link DIR-505.
I emailed the address on the Meteobridge website for help, info@smartbedded.com, but he has said to put the question up here.
I posted a message on Saturday when I was having the problems. Not getting any answers I went back to basic troubleshooting and created a new online configuration, copied the .tgz file to a memory stick and plugged the unit back into a power socket protected by a UPS.
It worked for less than 24 hours, before the uploading of data stopped and I couldn't access the DIR-505 from the IP. So I repeated the process. Again, it has worked for less than 24 hours before stopping 2 hours ago.
I have had to go through the same process to get my IROX station back on line.
the DIR-505 has a hardware version of A2, and came with a firmware version of 1.07. Does anyone else have this model and hardware version in use please?
I have it set up exactly as recommended on the meteobridge pages, but wonder if instead of receiving a DCHP IP address automatically, would it be better to set up a fixed address?
Any suggestions as to what might be going wrong and what I can do would be appreciated.
