I know you can access the Meteobridge via their server (currently down for me) but how do you setup a port forward in the router to accomplish the same thing?
DDNS is setup and my Meteobridge is on a fixed IP but what port number do I use?

If I understand your question, in the simplest case, you tell your router to forward port 80 to the local IP address of your Meteobridge, something like "port 80 -> 192.168.1.120 port 80 ".
So you will access your Meteobridge with http://your-public-ip/.

If there are several HTTP servers behind your router, you tell your router, as an example, to forward port 8081 to the local IP address of the Meteobridge port 80, something like "port 8081 -> 192.168.1.120 port 80 ".
In that case, you will access your Meteobridge with http://your-public-ip:8081/.

your-public-ip could be of course a domain name that is linked to your public IP.

I tried what you suggested with port forwarding but could not access the Meteobridge with a port number added to the ip either locally or on the internet.(192.168.0.150:8081) or(http://yourpublic ip:8081) I can access it locally via http://192.168.0.150
I think that the port number that is entered into the router must correspond to the port number that is assigned to the Meteobridge. At least that is the way I have used for remote access to webcams. The setup of the Meteobridge does not offer an option to assign a port number so I suspect this may have been pre done in the firmware???

The url on the Meteobridge has been out of service for the last few days so I cannot see the Meteobridge remotely.

Ok I believe you mentioned the router is on DNS? Change the administration web management port settings of the router to something like 8080, then port forward 80 to the fixed IP of the MB. This will allow you to remote login into the router and MB. If you have the Pro then you can also port forward the SMB and access the data folder as well.

What would be good is a user definable MB port (instead of default 80) so that port 80 could be used for other devices that are more difficult to get changed without having to delete and re-forward port 80 eg WLIP web page

Using port 80 is working locally, will try and test remotely tomorrow

Unfortunately I could not access Meteobridge remotely from another location using port 80.

So is this a wired or wireless router?
Regardless of the DNS, does the router (especially if wireless) have a the ability to have a public facing IP?
Have you specifically port forwarded port 80 to the IP of the MB?

It is a wireless Asus Rt-N56U but the TP Link MR3020 is hard wired to the router using a fixed IP.
The router can be accessed remotely using it's public IP but I use DDNS just in case the IP changes. I can access several webcams remotely using port forwarding.
Port forward is setup with the Meteobridge's fixed IP, Port Range 80 and Local Port 80, Protocol UDP & TCP (both)
192.168.0.150:80 locally works.
http://myddns.xxx.com:80 doesn't work
http://myddns.xxx.com:81 to my webcam works

Access to the Meteobridge using its url has not been working for more than a week. Are others having this problem?

Remote login works fine and completely flawless, at least for the many instances I make use of it to login to user Meteobridges that are suffering from some problems. So I am wondering why it does not for you...

Yes MR-3020 remote URL just checked out fine. What port is your router set to?

I just rebooted the modem and router and I can now access the Meteobridge url. No idea why as everything else was working ok.

Still can't login remotely using port forward.

Meteobridge remote login had been easy using port forwarding via IPADDR:80 to my Century Link westell 7500 modem installed at my remote farm water well location,
BUT, when that modem apparently went bad and I installed the new model modem, the security features added by CenturyLink could not be disabled enough and remote access was always denied. Furthermore, advanced helpdesk could not solve the problem.

Then I replaced the power supply for the Westell 7500 and remote login works once more, but only on the westell 7500.

Try an older model of modem without those stupid unneeded security features.
