I upgraded from an RPi2 (HW failed) to RPi3. Following issues were discovered:
- my old "Activation Code" from the RPi2 does not work anymore. I tried a "Restore Settings" as well as cut and paste the key from an ASCII-File. System Info says "Limited Demo Version, 425 days left"
20161103 update: found
http://wiki.meteohub.de/Transfer and installed new key. works fine now
- Software Update (Auto) shows "Ready to install 5.0s" although 5.0s is already installed.
Regards,
Dominik

New hardware or new SD card will result into a new System ID which needs a new activation code.
Activation codes can be migrated from one System ID to the other (but not in cycles)

I have a RPI 2 (running Meteohub 5.0p) and would like to move it to my RPI 3.
Does anyone see any issue with simply upgrading the RPI 2 software to version 5.0s and then moving the SD card over to the new RPI 3 hardware and booting it?
(I realize that I'll need to transfer my license and all that too.)

The new Raspberry Pi 3 is working great. I noticed that my wan IP address is incorrect.
I would also love to see the wireless LAN be an option to setup on the raspberry pi 3.

Please do an update to 5.0s (even if you are on 5.0s) as I added some hot fixes during
the last week that allows to use WLAN and WAN IP also is displayed fine now.

Hm, strange. Could you please browse to "
http://ip-of-your-meteohub/cgi-bin/help.cgi" to give me remote access?

I received a link to login, but the system page says it is a RPI model B.
WAN IP looks fine to me and Model B does not have WLAN on board.
I doubt you have a RPI3... Or you did not do a fresh install with the RPI3
supporting image.

Sorry - that is probably my fault. I clicked the 'help' link on last message from my phone to see what the code was ran. I'm still running a RPI 2 Model B (my system ID ends in ...xp5). The other user is probably not. Apologies.
