Is it possible to have a user defined power up delay (in minutes) so as to ensure the MB starts looking for the router once the router has had time to power up and acquired the network?

With remote solar powered systems if the regulator disconnects the power (on LVD) when the regulator re-instates the power the MB typically boots through much quicker than the router can boot-up and acquire leaving the MBPro in a state of "NO Network Available" which can not be rectified without manually re-powering the MB.

Currently using multiple LVD devices to drop the MBPro power first if the battery voltage drops below a certain voltage then drop the router at a lower voltage, once the battery starts to pick back up , start the router first at a set voltage then the MBPro at a higher voltage, works ok with solar systems but not power systems that provide full voltage immediately, thus powering everything up at the same time.

yes I can put this onto my todo list. Which are reasonable delays?
1, 2, 3, 4, 5 minutes? or even more?

Those delays should be fine, most routers would/should boot up with connection in a couple of minutes and less than 5 minutes max.

While I appreciate that the original poster wants a real problem solved, is adding this delay the right way to solve this? Shouldn't Meteobridge instead be periodically checking to see if the network is up and running, vs. hanging and waiting for a manual restart? What happens if the network goes down while Meteobridge is already up and running?

My sentiments entirely.

I live in a rural location where power and telephone are often fed overground.

Last night, for example, there was a two hour power outage. My Mb Pro lost sight of the local access point even though both MB Pro and local access point are powered through a UPS. Consequently, at 02:30 I was rebooting my MB Pro so as only to have two hours lost data rather than eight or nine if I'd waited until morning. The display was showing 'No Network Found' even though the MB Pro had not gone offline due to the UPS.

During a storm, the MB Pro falls over when the power dips or greys out and the Internet connection is lost.

I did some testing on removing LAN cables and shutting down WLAN access points.
All I can say is that the MB PRO does reestablish Internet connectivity, but it
might receive a new IP from your router and by that you might not reach it on
the IP it has had before. The IP display on the front is not updated with certain
intervals. So when you see "no notwork found" instead of the IP, please don't
give too much on that. It might be connected fine again in the meantime.

I also cannot confirm that data logging into local storage does halt when Internet
connection is down. Sorry, that works fine with my test rig here.

I added a customizable delay on startup of MB PROs and I also added some more
rounds of trying before giving up and starting over with the application stack that
has been cached locally from the last good Internet download.
