Broken SMS functionality? **solved**

Hello,
Since installing the "March 29" update on my MB Pro, the SMS functionality has been broken. Specifically, I have not been receiving the daily SMS (a service I have been using for several months) on my mobile phone.
The "Weather Network Status" under the "Live Data" tab shows the event as successfully completed at the correct time of the day. I have also clicked on the "Test SMS" button under the "Services" tab, and it successfully establishes connection to MessageBird. Moreover, I have also checked my MessageBird account, and it indicates that actual SMS messages have been sent over the last couple of days (which I have never received).
Is it possible that there has been a change in the way the "Recipient" phone number must be written in the MB Pro (under "Services")?
Any help would be appreciated! [BTW, I have not yet upgraded to the "April 2" version]
