Just received the SKY unit, so my WeatherFlow (WF) is now complete. And a brand new MB is happily reporting. These are my first four questions to start this topic with:

1. MB reports: "AIR sensor AR-00009834 already registered (thb0/th0/lgt0)", there is no inside sensor, how to remove that temp hum from the Live Data tab? Or will click and agree to block discard the whole sensor?
2. Will lightning only be visible in the live data AFTER the first strike is measured?
   Rain on the other hand is in the live data tab, with all zeros for now.
3. Tab Weatherstation shows: Weatherflow: AIR and SKY [x] unlink sensors
   What is the function of "unlink"? If I set that, will the reporting to the "WF-cloud' stop?
4. Tab Weather_Network: has a a selection for Weatherflow.
   It needs an ID and password and one can set the upload interval for 5 minutes or slower. When is that used as normally the hub does the uploads? Maybe when using unlink?

Very nice weather-station I got it as a far to big present. It has no moving parts and when it will survive the first winter, it will replace a vantage Vue which is to much "visible" on my apartments balcony. The Vue, due to its all-in-one design gives to high temperature readings when the sun hits the device.

ill try and help

1.you can block that indoor sensor , if you had two air sensors you can designate which one to use as indoor

2.do a test get an electrill drill-or zippo lighter or even two flints or tap the battery brass terminals with a screwdriver and fire it up right next to it (air) you will get a strike . mb will show a strike after 1st

3.data to wf cloud is via the wf hub regardless of mb in circuit mb is using the UDP to get data .i am not aware of a way of disabling upload to weatherflow servers unless you apply an ip block in the internet router itself etc.

4.never used it so cant help .

ps dont disregard your davis vue just yet ..

things to observe that might blow your brain apart so to speak humorously

rainfall, rain rates
uvindex
humidity
wind speeds and drop outs during rainfall especially winter period as water may reside on sensors until dry
dont use non lithium batteries they will die very rapidly after a month
wind direction can go a bit awol under heavy rainfall
dense fog or dew can build up on wind sensors can be an issue

build a decent radiation shield for the air module and get it out of the shade to avoid permanent 100% humidity in winter months .

these are just observations noticed during the test period and may not be present for you. but i know your an experienced enthusiast. so dont be dismayed im sure any solutions you have would be of benefit to the weatherflow community.
