Davis with ultrasonic anemometer

Hello,
I use a Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus but with an ultrasonic anemometer. In the Davis console, this is accomodated by selecting 'other' for anemometer setting. In the Meteobridgre we have to select small or large cup. Can you explain how this setting in Meteobridge affects the data ? Is the small/large cup setting used in any way for calculations or has it no impact on the data?
