Hi - I just got my Meteobridge Pro up and running in the last 24 hrs or so with a Vantage Pro2 ISS and Console (all purchased new December 2019).

I am having problems in two areas...

On my Live Data tab, I am seeing numbers that do not correspond with my Vanatage Pro console - the latter has the correct temp/barometric pressure but Meteobridge has "crazy" numbers...Can someone help me get Meteobridge to report the numbers my Vanatage Pro2 Console is displaying correctly from the ISS. Here is an example of the Meteobridge numbers:

Second: with some effort I integrated my Meteobridge Pro (wirlelessly) to my home network and VanPro2...but I am seeing (on the front display of the Meteobridge Pro) a solid red light, and then two vertical thin bars that move toward one another on the display....and then the display shows the internet location of the Meteo Pro (127.67 etc). Is this normal or should I see a green light and different data?

Update to Meteobridge display problem: I am now getting a display of Temp (but no data); Humid (no data); wind (no data but Km/hr is shown...I set my console to MPH...). And the red light is still solid. So it looks like there is some communication going on between My Modem (and perhaps ISS?) and the Meteobridge. I am wondering if I shut my Modem down and also the Meteobridge...and then turn back on - perhaps that will solve the communication problems?

This is my problem, I believe: "execution of setup script failed (console is not responding)." Can anyone help me resolve this issue?

two QUESTIONS (easy!!!)

(1) Select STATION tab of Meteobridge software:

Davis VantagePro2, Vue - here I select USB (because I have a USB data logger plugged into my console). And I am going to assume (that in the blank box to the right) that whether or not I put in the location of the Meteobridge on my Network (10.26.231.etc) is not important. So that box can be blank or have the location?

(2) on the same STATION page, to select the Vantage Pro2 station, do I check the box above:

Use internal RF receiver

or not check that box? The on-line instructions (see link above) do not provide any information on what to do...I ordered my Meteobridge Pro Black via Europe (USA sources were out of stock and it less expensive from Europe; took 7 days for it to arrive). Anyway, the instructions that came with my Meteobridge are in German...so I am working with the Wiki pages on the net for Meteobridge (which need to be worked through by someone who has experienced problems - to provide better guidance for newbies).

Yes, if you have plugged the other end of the cable into the Meteobridge-Pro

Leave that field blank. It is used for a Davis-IP logger (which has no USB cable)

That is for a RED Meteobridge-Pro, you should not use that. Not even with a red-one until all is working using the USB-cable.

Wim's advice is what I would also recommend. Does it work now?

OK we sorted out the problem here:

It details what we went through to get everything operating properly. Basically, the on-line instructions for setting up the Meteobridge Pro Black and Davis Vantage Pro 2 are confusing - I took a few wrong turns. With help on the other forum, I was able to sort out exactly what set up procedures to follow - and then re-booting the MB Pro Black helped too...So my recommendation to anyone having basic set-up problems is to ask questions on different fora (forums)...you'll eventually be up and running. And my other recommendation is to the developer: have a lay person (non-technical person) try and set up an MB Pro Black with the Vantage Pro 2 - and have them report to you the problems they are having with your instructions. There are several confusing areas...I know all too well! The good news is that such problems on the part of the reader are common...they happen. For the Developer, who is familiar with the system and set up...those problems that ordinary people have are not obvious...(and be advised I have a PhD in the sciences - so I am a dummy but not an ordinary dummy).

This is the happy ending to the Dummy's problem (but see full post for how we solved the set-up problem) - I am sure others will fall into my predicament...and hopefully how to solve their problem(s):

OK I rebooted the MeteoBridge Pro Black - and now the data are appearing on the MB console and also being reported correctly on the LIVE DATA tab of the MB Pro software!
