NANO D heating up Console. **solved**

It is well advised that NANO HD heats up the console and a temperature console adjustment of -2.2°C is proposed, my experience shows it should be -3°C. I find this solution not satisfactory for two reasons: the obvious one, display is wrong and secondly the humidity sensor mesurément is most wrong as well. Even if it defeats the remarquable integration of this device into the console, I would be very tempted to make a small cable extension and put the module in a small box. Should I be refrained from this idea or is it worth the try (I'm an electronician engineer so I know what do).

Hi there.
Entirely up to you in regards to doing that. If you really feel the need to move it away from the Console then do so.
My indoor temp offset is -4.2c as I used an external temp sensor close by to evaluate what offset i needed.

Meteobridge NANO allows to calibrate the indoor temp readings within the console. Doing so display is identical with reported values.
I do not recommend to put the NANO outside the console port. As it is not shielded you have good chances to break something.

Thanks I do know that. But beside the console reporting a wrong value, I would not be surprised it affects the humidity reading as well. Any clue? I'm wondering also whether the correction should be really an offset or a function depending on the current room temperature . I must admit it is not a big deal, but it puzzles me a bit

If this is a big deal and it's important then simply use an Envoy, which you can then use an additional external temp sensor which actually replaces and reports as internal temp

It could be a smart alternative. A bit more expensive though
