I recently upgraded to Meteobridge software version 5.0 from 4.2 and I am having issues with it not providing data for several variables: wind chill, heat index, and dew point. I believe this is some issue with these being variables that are calculated from other variables. There is simply no data for those variables being provided when trying to access the data and upload it to a SQL table (example below of variable calls). I am using an Envoy8x.

Example of what worked previously:
th0temp-act=F
th0hum-act
th0dew-act=F (no longer works)

However, in the “Live Data” tab under “Raw Sensor Data”, the dew point temperature still shows in the parentheses beside the temperature/humidity data like it has previously. So it would seem the dew point is still being calculated, yet I can’t access that for SQL uploads and can’t assign that variable in the variable mapping tab.

Has anyone else experienced this or can think of a solution? Thanks!

** Solved **

Previously I had my Envoy8x configured with Receiver ID as 2 and my Vantage Pro 2 Plus ISS on channel 2 since I used to have another ISS on channel 1. With the Weather Data Transfer Utility program for the Envoy8x, reconfiguring my Envoy8x by changing the Receiver ID to 1 and the channel to 1 (after changing on the actual ISS transmitter itself) seems to have fixed this issue. Before, under “Raw Data”, Meteobridge had been labeling my ISS outdoor temperature as “Soil #1” (this was true in previous software versions as well, but it still was able to give me the outdoor dew point, wind chill, etc.). With this new configuration, Meteobridge 5.0 now automatically labeled my ISS on channel 1 as “Outdoor Temperature” and I guess that change allowed it to ‘know’ which variables to use to derive the outdoor dew point, wind chill, etc.

Strange issue and fix for the problem, but it is now working for me. I’m not sure if it would still work if I had two ISS’s connected like I’ve had previously. It seems it might would only calculate the outdoor dewpoint temperature and other derived variables for whichever ISS is on channel 1, but I cannot confirm that right now.
