As I am often faced with questions which of the products to recommend and as the answer is not always that easy, I tried to setup a feature comparison matrix. Such a matrix can of course not cover every aspect, but I tried to put in the most important things.

Before linking it into the menu of the Meteobridge wiki, I would like to give you a chance to comment and to point out errors, imprecise or misleading information, and things I have overlooked.

Here we go: https://www.meteobridge.com/wiki/index.php/Comparison

Excellent comparison chart. I even learned a few things. Here is my feedback...

- Raspberry Pi hardware should specify that SLC SD card type is required and strictly enforced. This info should be there with the pricing with a link to supported cards.

- Fine Offset stations... the WH2650 is not aka Ambient ObserverIP. The WH2650 is more akin to the GW1000 as they both support the GW1000 API. The proper wording should be ObserverIP aka WH2600. The WH2600 has the embedded web server, where live data needs to be screen scraped. The WH2650 and WH2600 look like the same thing physically but they are not the same....one is WiFi only and the other is Ethernet only and their software/firmware is totally different.

- Missing mention of supporting live mySQL database upload queries.

- Remote access without need to open firewall ports I feel is a big feature to mention.

- Suggestion... I would like to see the supported station hardware list sorted in a different order. There is no reason to list Oregon Scientific so prominently at the top of the list. I would keep Davis at the top followed by Fine Offset / Ecowitt. This is where the action is today. Oregon needs to go down there with LaCrosse. I feel this is important for new buyers as they make decisions. This resorting would be a good thing to do within the Meteobridge software also. I've already done this recently with the wxforum.net forum. Oregon had its heyday. That was a long time ago.

- We can officially call PWSweather just that. It is no longer WeatherForYou. They sold out to Aeris. WeatherForYou now gets data from PWSweather/Aeris.

- WiFiLogger is one word, no space.

- WeatherCloud one word, no space.

- Does Meteobridge PRO black not exist anymore since you didn't include it? Probably not much reason to now exist since the introduction of Meteobridge Raspberry Pi right?

@galfert: thanks for the appreciated input.

MB PRO BLACK is still alive, but just 5% of the MB PRO volume and apart from the RF 100% identical to the RED. Therefore, I didn't want to add another column for it.

The MB Pro Black definitely has a place regardless of the Raspberry Pi

Yes but I specified PRO "black" not just PRO. I'm not seeing the place for the "black" now that the MB RPI version exists. I suppose that maybe the reason is that is is prebuilt could be the one thing that maybe is a value to someone and the support that comes with it versus needing to piece together parts.

My mistake for some reason my thinking never got to the keyboard, there was supposed to be the word Black in that, has been edited now.
