you can order e.g. at
https://www.arrow.de/ - I ordered from them.
WD/SanDisk SLC cards at
https://www.arrow.de/products/search?ca ... QED&r=true
In their prices, the comma is the decimal point in Anglo-Saxon/-American notation.
e.g. 27,7740 € for a 16 GB WD SLC means 27.774 EUR (and not 27 thousand

).

It seems that ordering from Arrow.de is not really shipping from Germany because I don't see that they have offices anywhere in Europe. Therefore it seems like it wouldn't be any different from ordering from Mouser.de or Mouser.com for that matter. Seems like these companies have many different country portals but that doesn't really alter where shipment comes from. Unless they have shipping warehouse in Europe???

I searched alot and mouser , arrow and so on , are shipping only from USA , takes 4 to 6 weeks to get it...
Other sellers in EU just deal only with companies and not private buyers.
So , i cant seem to find these MicroSD cards in EU...
Thats a shame...

I ordered mine from arrow.de and it arrived within
one week.
And, why would you want your order to be shipped only from the EU ?
Possible customs fees are included in the price.
But, of course, you're free to do what you want ...
I'm from Germany by the way.

Ullises,
Are you sure you aren't mistaking the stock replacement time-line for the shipping time? On Arrow and Mouser there is mention of quantity in stock available to ship immediately, but there is also mention of a stock replacement time of several weeks and that won't affect you unless you order more quantity than what is in stock.

I shoped various cards at mouser and it shows up after 3-4 days in Germany.
In my experience it is really easy to get one of these. I cannot comment on shipping costs as I was beyond the threshold where mouser asks for this.

You can purchase a 2GB SLC card on eBay which is approved for approx $20 US including shipping. See item # 193697994136.

The reality of others does put things in perspective. I can't believe I actually felt incredulous that I was going to have to spend as much as I did on a 16 GB SLC SD card, $36.69. The 16 GB size says that it will hold about 30 years of 1 minute data, I've seen others with the 8 GB and they hold about 14 years of 1 minute data. You should be able to hold a couple of years of 1 minute data with a 2 GB size. There is even an optional automatic purge for 1 minute data if you turn that feature on. You'll be able to keep a much longer hourly data for many years with a 2 GB size. I believe that the MB PRO only has 1 GB of storage. I definitely do not see a reason for anything larger than the 16 GB, and the smaller sizes can be more than adequate if you accept their capabilities or if you don't need 1 minute data and are happy with only hourly data.
I'm just ecstatic about the MB RPI. I've wanted a MB PRO for a long time but I could not justify its cost over my previous TP-Link, despite the added features. The MB RPI represents a new dynamic and for me an even better solution than the MB PRO, therefore even the spendy SD card should be taken into perspective of the alternative which is the MB PRO.

your invoice is really strange - looks like Romania is sort of a shipping diaspora
See my invoice below - price is all-inclusive, even theoretical customs fees - which would be the VAT.
I think you ordered at the UK website - not advisable at all after Brexit (unless you live in the UK).
And, I have tried to order a 16 GB SLC with a fake Romanian address - and the price is just the same as for me in Germany.
BUT you have to order via the German website arrow.de - register yourself there with your Romanian home address - you can choose language EN and currency EUR - and your price for the 16 GB SLC will be 33.44 EUR all inclusive. The amount is slightly higher than mine as you have a different VAT rate in Romania than we have in Germany.
And paying 7 EUR more for double the storage is a good deal I'd say.
And I have to agree with galfert - for the RPi4-2 GB a 16 GB SLC is more than enough - mine says 9 years left for all my sensor minute data (and I have plenty of sensors - and two stations !). And the speed of that little toy is at least 5 times faster than the MB Pro and has (with 16 GB) 16 x more
internal storage than a MB Pro. It responds to requests like my Windows PC with a NVMe SSD - amazing.
